Hi All,
ET`s back on the table with the latest delivery, after someone decided to put a two month gap in the delivery schedule.
We start with Issue 39, where we carry on working on the neck mechanism.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the Servo-motor box from issue 29.
Start by placing the pulley ring 39-02 onto the pulley 39-01, Pic 2. Then fix the pulley parts together using 4 x F-TP screws as shown in Pic 3.
Retrieve the Servo-motor box from issue 29 and add the pulley to the hexagonal shaft on the same side as the belt tensioner. Pic 4. Note: At this point you fix the pulley in place using a P-TPD screw, Pic 5, but the first task in Issue 40 is to remove the screw and pulley. The choice is yours as to when you fit the pulley, but either way keep the parts/assembly safe until the next update.
That`s it for this update, Pic 6 gives a side view of the Servo-motor box with the pulley fitted.

Hi All,
Time for the next ET update with issue 40. In this update we fit the neck servo-motor and the drive belt into ET`s body.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the servo-motor and pulley with screw if you did not fit it in issue 39. If you did fit the pulley in issue 39, then now is the time to remove it, Pic 2. I checked to see if the servo-motor would fit with the pulley still attached, but unfortunately not.
Feed the servo-motor into the body frame from the front side, lowering it into place, then fix its position using 5 x P-TP screws with a washer 40-02 on each, Pic 3. Note: the screws should be tight enough to hold the servo-motor in place , but allow it to slide up and down with a little resistance. Now move the servo-motor to its highest position as shown in Pic 4.
We now fit the drive belt over the top pulley, making sure that the belt tensioner is in the upward position as in Pic 5.
Its now time to refit the pulley to the servo-motor that we removed earlier. With the pulley reinstated, press the servo-motor down so that the left side of the belt (as you look at it) forms a straight line and the tensioner takes up the slack on the other side, Pic 6. Whilst holding the servo-motor in this position, tighten the 5 x P-TP screws as indicated in Pic 7.
That`s all there is for this update, Pic 8 and 9 show the front and rear of the body frame as it should be now. See you soon for issue 41.
