Come to a bit of a sticking point. I can't seem to work out how to fit the exhaust manifold and turbo housing. It just seems like I need 4 pairs of hands! Can anyone advise on the best way to fit these parts please. Steve279021 attached the following image(s): Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

Fit the three pipes into the housing using tiny bits of Blutak. Wiggle the pipes into place on the engine and glue them in, keeping the turbo in position.
When fully dry take the turbo unit off and remove the Blutak and then glue it back on.
I have the same problems all the time when building big F1 cars.

A little help from anyone who's done this kit is needed please. The front nose lower section is supposed to be painted by using a mixing ratio. I used 4 LP2 and 1 LP55 as it says in the book but I get this awful cream colour. Surely the real car doesn't have this colour on this section does it? Hi Steve,
I`ve not built this kit, but just looking at the paint mix ratio says to me its going to be an off white colour. Four parts white to one part any colour is going to be pale.
My thought would be to try and discover the actual colour of the real part on the car and go from there. Sorry I can`t be more help.

I've got loads of picture reference of that car but I can't see that part anywhere presumable as it's underneath the car in reality. I wonder if it's actually unpainted fibre glass, so a cream/beige is near?

Why not just paint it yellow? It's under the nose anyway.

Just found this pic, it's of the model, not the real car (unfortunately Arnoux nor Jabouille obviously ever put it on its roof!๐). I think I'll just go with it. There must be a reason for it Steve279021 attached the following image(s): Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029
