Hi All,
As expected Pack 9 arrived yesterday. This pack consists of issue 39 - 44, so lets get started with Issue 39.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the part 26A supplied in issue 38 and the main model on the stand.
Two base parts "BASE 12" are supplied and these must be pressed into specific places on the base, see Pics 2 and 3.
Now take part 26A (from issue 38) and 26B (from this issue) Pic 4 and slide 26B over the end of 26A as shown in Pic 5. Then hold the parts together and fix them using 3 x MS4 screws, Pic 6.
The final thing to do, is to place the detail part 26C onto the tab on the top of 26B, Pic 7. Note: my part 26C was not the tightest of fits, but a small spot of superglue soon cured that problem. The completed assembly is shown in Pic 8.
See you soon for the update of Issue 40.

Hi All,
Time for the next ISS update with Issue 40. In this issue we extend the main spar that will accomodate the main array of solar panels. The BASE 1 part will be used in the issue 41 update, so store it carefully for now.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the assembly from issue 39.
Add the part 26D to the assembly from issue 39, Pic 2 and fix it in place using 3 x MS4 screws as shown in Pic 3.
Finally, press the detail part 26C onto the tab on part 26D, Pic 4. You may need a small spot of superglue if the fit is a bit loose.
That`s all for this update, Pic 5 shows the full assembly to date.

Hi All,
The update for issue 41 is here. In this update we add a part to the main spar assembly and get base parts ready for the extension of the base.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the assembly from issue 40 and the unused Base 1 part from the same issue.
Take the spar assembly from issue 40 and the part 26E from this issue. Part 26E has a small notch in one end and in Pic 2 I have indicated the notch and where it will be positioned when added to the spar assembly. Fit the part 26E as shown in Pic 3 and secure it using 4 x MS4 screws, Pic 4.
Now take the Base 1 part from issue 40 along with the one supplied in this issue, Pic 5. With the two base parts upside down, fix them together using 2 x Nut/Bolt as shown in Pic 6.
That`s all for this update, Pic 7, with the next update coming soon.

Hi All,
Time for the next update with Issue 43. In this issue we add more parts to the solar panel we started in the previous issue.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the assembly from issue 42.
With the assembly from issue 42 on the table, carefully add the second solar panel 3F onto the posts of the end bar as shown in Pic 2. Then place part 3D over the panel, Pic 3 and fix it in place using 2 x MS4 screws, Pic 4.
Finally push the flat square end of part 3C into the end bar, Pic 5, noting that this part is not fixed in place until issue 44.
That`s all for this update, Pic 6, so store the assembly carefully to avoid damaging the panels.

Hi All,
This is the last update for this pack, with Issue 44. In this update we finish the construction of the solar panel.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the assembly from issue 43.
Position the wider end of the centre spar 3B into the end bar 3G and fix them together using an MS4 screw, Pic 2.
Bring the issue 43 assembly to the table. Fit the centre spar parts together and then press the solar panels onto the four posts of the end bar, Pic 3. Then fit the end caps 3i and 3H over the ends of the panels and fix each of them using 2 x MS4 screws, Pic 4.
Your solar array should now be the same as the one shown in Pic 5. Finally, insert an MB7 screw into the central post and tighten it to tension the solar panels, Pic 6. NOTE: DO NOT overtighten this screw or damage will occur to the parts.
See you all again when the next delivery arrives.
