Ahoi everyone, as usual, progress is slow as time is sparse. But I managed to work a little more on the gallery. I wasn't happy with the share shaped design of the doors leading to the loos. As I only had done two out of six so far, it didn't't bother me too much having to do them again. Now at least they look a bit more than the ones on the Victory with a more rounded shape on the top. I also got rid of the 'frame' design to the left and right of the door, which was a pain to do in the first place. With this simplified design, I saved myself some frustration and time. Now for the upper two levels of the gallery I printed the checkered pattern on photo paper and simply glued it on the upper gun deck planking, which I extended all the way to the end of the gallery. After, I build the partition wall from scrap wood (as there's plenty). For the upper level I bought a 0.8mm basswood sheet and reinforced it with 1x3mm planks glued on top. Hi Odo, I have been following your build since you started and it is amazing what you have achieved. Looking back at some of the earlier pics I noticed the high quality of the hull sanding and in particular, the gunport inserts. I know how painstaking these little details are and I wish I had your skills. Keep it coming sir. This is a real lesson in how to do things for modellers of all standards. Chris
