STAGE 37:

These parts will allow you to fit the rear wheel arches.

Locate the left wheel arch, part 37A and retrieve the left pontoon, part36A from the previous stage.
Fit the parts together and secure using 2 x DM screws. The parts will only fit together one way.

Retrieve the main chassis assembly and fit the wheel arch in place on the rear left of the chassis.
Secure using 3 x DM screws.

NOTE: You will find it easier to fit the front screw first.

Locate the right wheel arch, part 37B and retrieve the right pontoon part 36B from the previous stage.
Fit the parts together and secure using 2 x DM screws. The parts will only fit together one way.

Retrieve the main chassis assembly again and fit the wheel arch in place on the rear right of the chassis.
Secure using 3 x DM screws.

NOTE: You will find it easier to fit the front screw first.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 38:

These parts will allow you to add more wiring.

Retrieve the main chassis assembly.

Locate the triangular cover plate, part 38B.
Fit this to the chassis in front of the engine and fix using 3 x MN screws.
NOTE they are incorrectly labelled JM screws in the printed instructions.

Fit the two long wires numbered 8 and 12 to the left side of the chassis with the white plugs at the front.
Trap the wires in place using the two pairs of posts next to the front wheel arch, securing them with 2 x tabs, parts 38A and 2 x KM screws.
Allow 6 – 7 cm of wire to overhang at the front.
Run the wires along the lower edge of the transmission tunnel and then over it near the rear.
If you find the supplied sticky tabs not strong enough to hold the wires in place, use small pieces of tape. They will not be seen.

Turn the chassis around and fit the two wires numbered 9 and 19 in the same way, using the 4 x posts next to the right wheel arch, the 2 x 38A tabs and 2 x KM screws.
Allow 6 – 7 cm of wire to overhang at the front.
Secure the wires along the side of the transmission tunnel but not over it as before.

The 4 x blocks, parts 38C can be used to support the car while you are working on it.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 39:

These parts will allow you to add more wiring.

Retrieve the main assembly.

Locate the 4 x cables, numbered 6, 10, 11 and 23, parts 39B, 39C, 39D and 39F.
Fit them between the 3 x pairs of posts near the left rear wheel arch.
Secure them in place using the black tabs, parts 3 x 39G and fix using 3 x KM screws.
Allow the cables to hang beyond the rear of the chassis by 5 – 6 cm.

Locate the cable numbered 22, part 39E and fit it between the 3 x pairs of posts near the right rear wheel arch.
Secure it using the black tabs, parts 3 x 39G and fix in place using 3 x KM screws.
Allow the cable to hang beyond the rear of the chassis by 5 – 6 cm.

Store the interior floor panel, part 39A until later.

STAGE 40:

These parts will allow you to fit the foot pedals.

Locate the panel and brake pedal, parts 40A and 40D.
Fit the pedal through the rectangular hole on the left side of the flat panel.

From the other side, fit the small pin, part 40E through the hole in the round end of the brake pedal, then locate the pin in the slot on the panel.

Fit the securing block, part 40F in place, trapping the pin in the locating slot, and fix using 2 x AP screws.

Fit the small spring, part 40I through the locating hole in the rear of the brake pedal and then fix the other end of the spring to the main panel using 1 x AP screw.

Fit the clutch pedal, part 40B through the hole to the left of the brake pedal and fix from the other side using 1 x AP screw.

Fit the accelerator pedal, part 40C through the hole to the right of the brake pedal and fix from the other side using 1 x AP screw.

Fit the yellow wire, part 40J in place on the rear of the panel, locating the switch above the brake pedal end and fix using 1 x AP screw.

Fit the tab, part 40G in place on the rear of the panel, trapping the yellow wire between the two locating posts.
Fix using 1 x AP screw.

Retrieve the floor panel, part 39A from the previous stage and fit the panel, part 40A to the three locating tabs at the curved end.
Fix from underneath using 3 x BP screws.

Run the long yellow wire over the top of the panel, part 40A, and along the top of the transmission tunnel so that it goes between the 3 x pairs of posts.
Fit 3 x tabs, parts 40H on the posts and secure using 3 x AP screws.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 41:

These parts will allow you begin assembling the centre console.

Fit the control plate, part 41B to the centre console, part 41A and fix from underneath using 2 x ASP screws.

Fit the second console part, 41C to the main console, part 41A with the large opening at the rear.
Fix from underneath using 2 x BP screws.

Fit the rubber gear lever surround into the opening in part 41C from underneath.

Fit the gear lever, part 41E, narrow end first, through the hole in the rubber surround from underneath.

Fix the cover plate, part 41D over the rubber surround and fix using 2 x BP screws.

Turn the console assembly the right way up and fit the gear knob, part 41F to the protruding gear lever, part 41E.

Store the assembly safely for now.
