Hi All,
Well pack 5 of the Enterprise has arrived and it covers issues 15 - 18.
So here we go with issue 15:
In this issue we will prepare the skeletal frame of the saucer, so we can complete the ring of the frame over the upcoming issues.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the frame last worked on in issue 14.
Position a frame support 15A to the main frame and fix it in place using 2 x BM screws as shown in Pic 2. Then on the same edge of the saucer, position a support 15B and fix that using 2 x BM screws, Pic 3. Now fit the remaining supports on the other side of the open part of the frame, using 4 x BM screws as shown in Pics 4 and 5.
That`s all for this update, Pic 6 shows how the frame now appears. Keep the frame 15C safe as it is to be used at a later time in the build.

Hi all,
Lets take a look at the next update for Pack 5 of the Enterprise D with issue 16.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main frame for the saucer from the last update and the battle station rear neck, last worked on in issue 14.
Start with the main frame of the saucer and add part 16A to the right side of the opening, fixing it in place using 4 x BM screws as shown in Pic 2.
Retrieve the Battle Section Rear Neck. As we fit the Shuttlebay doors you must very carefully move the wires out of the way by bending them upwards on both sides.
Fit the larger bay doors 16C and fix it in place using a BP screw, Pic 3 and repeat with the smaller bay doors 16B as shown in Pic 4.
That`s it for this update, where Pic 5 shows the shuttlebay doors from the outside and I retested the lighting having bent the wires, as shown in Pic 6. I`ll see you soon for issue 17`s update.

Hi All,
It`s time to join up the saucer framework with the update for issue 17. We also introduce the Battle Bridge.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main saucer framework from issue 16.
Start with the Battle Bridge 17D and the Deck 8 base 17E. Line up the three pins on the bridge with the holes in the deck and press fit the parts together, Pic 2.
Now retrieve the saucer framework from issue 16 and put the new frame 17A into position. Fix it in place using 4 x BM screws into the existing supports as shown in Pic 3. To finish the frame closure, place the large support 17B under the frame and fix it in place using 4 x BM screws, Pic 4. Then do the same with the small support 17C, fixing that in place using a further 4 x BM screws as shown in Pic 5.
That completes the link up of the frame and this update, Pic 6. See you soon for the update of issue 18, the last one of this pack.

Hi All,
This is the last update for this pack with issue 18. In this issue we build up one of the light up deck panels.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the battery holder and the test circuit board.
Start with the deck panel 18A and the clear and blackout windows 18D and 18E. Seperate the windows from the frets and place them inside the deck panel, Pic 2. Place the reflwctor panels 18B and 18C over the windows, Pic 3 and fix them in place with 4 x DM screws as indicated in Pic 4. NOTE: DO NOT fully tighten the screws yet, as the panels will need to be lifted slightly at the outer edge.
Take one of the led panel lights 18F, lift the outer edge of the right hand reflector panel and position the led`s, then hold them in place by inserting a further 2 x DM screws as shown in Pic 5. Repeat this operation with the second led light 18F on the left hand side of the panel and secure it with the final 2 x DM screws, Pic 6. You can now tighten all of the 8 x DM screws. The completed panel is shown in Pic 7.
Testing of the lights is shown in Pic 8. That completes this update and pack, Pic 9, so store the assemblies and any unused parts carefully for use later.
