On we go.
After some careful dismantling (breaking it apart) the bits were soaked overnight in oven cleaner and washed, then sanded.
Now in primer and the cockpit is silver and the seat black.

A little done.
Interior parts reassembled and the side pods are now attached to the body panels but only at the upper edge so far.
The pods are incredibly warped so I've fixed the upper edge leaving the bottoms free.
When the glue is fully set - 24 hours?
I'll pull the lower edges in and clamp them, with some glue in the join.roymattblack attached the following image(s):

I've fixed the rear side pods into place now and the body sides are glued at the bottom edge.
I've built enough of these kits now to know the (numerous) pitfalls - one being that when the body tub is assembled, the front frame won't fit.
I'll put the front frame in place when the body lower joins are set, then 'wrap' the body sides around it and then add the upper front deck.
When all is dry, take the frame out again, knowing it will fit later on.
Front frame now mostly sorted and pipework added to it.roymattblack attached the following image(s):

The body primer has hardened off for a good few days so now it's been masked and had 3 coats of gloss white.

A wee bit more here.
Masking all removed, and I've cut off the protruding piece of the floor at the front of the body.
Another bit learned from previous builds of this kit.
If that part stays in place and the kit is built following the instructions, it is literally impossible to fit the pedals as the steering column is in the way, over the top and access through the rectangular hole between the brakes is a joke.
This way, the front cradle can be added and the pedals then fitted to the cut off piece, before being offered up from underneath.

Another update on this one...
Many of the suspension parts were broken but they've been sorted now and assembled.
Some pipework added - still lots to go.
Exhausts also now added.

I'm doing bits of this one every now and then between other stuff so updates are a tad irregular.
Wheels assembled and painted, tyres added and lettering on.
I found the rear wing is missing an end plate so I made one from sheet placcy.
Luckily it's a simple flat part.
Not so lucky - the dashboard part is missing.
I'm going to have to scratch make that bit.

Righty-ho.
Replacement dash now sorted.
TBH, I created it it Serif Page Plus, printed it on photo paper and then stuck it to 80 thou plastic.
Once cut out, the rear had some gauge bodies added from bits in my scrap box.
The bezel on the large gauge is actually a spare 1/43 wheel rim.
I'll add wiring to the back before I fit it in the car.
Ignore the 'speckles' on the dash.
In reality, they aren't there.

The home stretch on this one now.
The assorted body parts, wings, air box etc all in white primer awaiting respective top coats.
Engine pipework etc all sorted.
I've still got to print the decals but the art is done for them.
