So here we go building the legendary Darth Vader. Cool Cool

Issue 01 Part 1

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

The Helmet

First, take the four grills. These all look the same but have slightly different curvatures and notches on the outer sides which are quite hard to see.
The easiest way to identify each part is to look on the back with a magnifying glass and you will see that each part is numbered between 1.1 – 1.4.

Take the first two grills marked 1.1 and 1.2, picture 2 and fit these in place as shown in picture 3. Each piece has a different protrusion on the outer sides. Match these so they coincide with the slots in the helmet.
Now do the same with the other two grills as shown in pictures 4 and 5.

Take the two front circuits (01-14 and 01-15), picture 6 and place them as shown in picture 7.

Add the central front circuit (01-16) and push fit in place, picture 8.

That completes Part 1 of this assembly.

Issue 01 Part 2

The Helmet

Place the rear breathing grill (01-13) in the triangular hole in the mask, picture 9. Next, place the front breathing grill (01-12), which has two pegs that slot into the holes on the rear breathing grill, picture 10. Attach the nose tip (01-10) in the hole as shown in picture 11, and turning the assembly over secure it with the screw provided, picture 12.

Retrieve the four side circuits. As you can see in picture 13, I have numbered these to identify each part.

Take the right-side circuits, (07 and 08) and place them on the helmet as shown in picture 14. Place the 07 part first then the 08 part second as the 08 part partly fits over the top of part 07.

Do the same to the left side using parts 05 and 06, picture 15.

Picture 16 shows the complete assembly for Part 2 of this assembly.

Issue 02 Part 1

The Helmet

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Fit the helmet central band (02-01) onto the left helmet piece from the previous issue. Slot the internal pegs into the holes on the outer edge of the helmet and secure with two of the “B” type screws, pictures 2 and 3. Picture 4 shows the assembly complete.

In this next assembly we fit cylinder parts into the main respirator. The magazine pictures are quite hard to see how the orientation and the fitment of the cylinder parts into the respirator. The next set of pictures show more clearly how they all fit together.

First, collect all the cylinder parts, (02, 03, 04 and 05) along with the main respirator (06), picture 5. Carefully snap fit the parts as shown in picture 6. Attach the two-side left and right supports (09 and 10) as shown in pictures 7 and 8.

That completes part 1 of this issue.

Issue 02 Part 2

The Mask

Retrieve the mask from issue 1 and attach the two forehead circuits (02-15) and press fit them in place as shown in picture 9.

Turn the mask over and fit the internal mouth protector (02-12) inside the mask, securing it using two of the type “A” screws, picture 10 and 11. Next, place the silver internal protector (02-11) on top of the previous assembly and secure it with another type “A” screw, picture 12.

This final assembly for this issue shows how to attach the three foam pieces (19, 20 and 21) into the neck part (02-18). Again, the pictures in the magazine are not very clear, so again I have tried to show how these pieces fit using clearer pictures to guide you.

Take all the parts, picture 13 and taking off the backing paper on each strip, place them as shown in pictures 14 and 15. Picture 16 shows this assembly complete.

That completes part 2 of this issue.
