STAGE 67:

In this stage you will fit parts to the left turbocharger.

Locate the turbocharger shaft and oil pipes, part 67A, 67G and 67F.
Press-fit the pipes to the two pins on the end of the shaft, part 67A, noting that the orange pipe fits on the longer of the two pins.

Retrieve the main car assembly and fit the shaft and pipes to the turbocharger on the left side of the engine.
The ‘D’ shaped pin on the shaft will locate in the same shaped hole on the turbo assembly on the engine, part 66E.

Attach the short black hose, part 67G to the end of the chrome pipe, part 62D, near to the chassis plate.
The orange pipe, part 67F attaches to the upper chrome pipe, part 42F, on the side of the engine.

Locate the two compressor housing parts, 67B and 67C.
Press-fit the two parts together.
They will only fit one way.

Fit the mounting bracket, part 67E to the assembly using 1 x NP screw.
The bracket will only fit one way.

Mount the assembly over the chrome shaft on the turbocharger, part 67A.
The bracket will locate in a recess on the chassis floor.
Fix the assembly in place from below using 1 x BM screw.

Store the model and unused part safely for now.

STAGE 68:

In this stage you will fit the air intake to the left turbocharger.

Locate the two intake duct parts, 68B and 68C.
Fix them together using 1 x DP screw.

Fit the intake duct, part 68A to the assembly and fix using 2 x DP screws.
The parts will only fit one way.

Fit the air filter housing, part 68D to the tab on the assembly and fix using 1 x DP screw.

Retrieve the air filter, part 67D from the previous stage and press it into place on the air filter and duct assembly.
It will only fit one way.

Retrieve the main car assembly and locate the two silver tubes coming from the top left side of the engine, parts 2 x 62C.
Press-fit these tubes to the two pins in the silver air filter, part 67D.

Fit the air duct and filter assembly over the chrome shaft on the turbocharger, part 67A.
Fix the assembly in place using 1 x DP screw through the central hole in the air filter, part 68D.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 69:

In this stage you will you will begin assembling the left intercooler.

Locate the intercooler and the mounting plate, parts 69A and 69B.
Fit the parts together and fix with 2 x EP screws.
The parts will only fit one way.

Fit the hot air pipe half, part 69D to the intercooler and fix using 1 x IP screw.
The parts will only fit one way.

Press-fit the other half of the hot air pipe, part 69C into place on the previously fitted part 69D.

Fit the two cable connectors, parts 2 x 69E into the locating holes on either side of the cockpit, near the back and close to the chassis.

Store the model and intercooler safely for now.

STAGE 70:

In this stage you will you will complete the left intercooler.

Retrieve the intercooler assembly from the previous stage and fit the half-pipe, part 70B in place on the flat locating tab. Fix using 2 x DP screws.

Fit the other half of the pipe, part 70A in place and fix using 1 x DP screw.

Press-fit the front panel of the intercooler, part 70C, in place.
It will only fit one way.

Position the intercooler on the left side of the engine so that the silver pipe, part 62C can be attached to the pin on the lower side.

Fit the intercooler in place on the chassis so that the pin on the hot air pipe, part 69D locates in the hole in the turbo compressor, part 67C.

Fit the pin on the end of the intake pipe, part 27C into the hole on the end of the cold air pipe, part 70B.

NOTE: This is not very clear in the printed instructions and is quite fiddly to fit.

Fix the intercooler in place from underneath using 2 x EP screws.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 71:

In this stage you will you will fit the left intake duct.

Locate the intake duct, part 71A and fit it in place on the chassis using the locating pegs under the duct.
Fix the duct in place from underneath using 2 x EP screws.

Peel the backing from the small manufacturer’s plate and attach it to the rectangular recess on the top of the left intercooler.
Make sure the plate is the right way up so the text can be read from the side of the chassis.

Store the model safely for now.
