Issue 03 Part 1

The Helmet

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Take the parts as shown in picture 2. Although the magazine shows how to attach these to the helmet, they are attached loosely as shown in picture 3 where the neck grill is placed inside.
The best option of assembly is to attach the two internal mesh parts first as shown in picture 4.

Note: you can see that the mesh parts are quite close to the two screw posts in picture 4. I moved these back slightly as it will help fit the final part with the screws.

Next, I then assembled the voice synthesizer by attaching the two studs as shown in picture 5. Attach the two left and right internal connectors as shown in pictures 6 and 7. Note the orientation.

Now back to the first parts as shown in picture 2. After placing the neck grill in place, attach the voice box support over the top. Then attach the speaker and motion sensor in place as shown in picture 8.

Note: I found that the speaker kept coming out of the holder when placing the assembled synthesizer in place. I added a tiny amount (dab) of glue to the inner sides of the speaker holder, just enough to hold the speaker in place whilst assembling all the parts together.

Once the synthesizer is in place, secure with two of the type C screws. Make sure you do not trap the two cables when assembling the parts together. I would also recommend using a smaller screwdriver than the one supplied as it is a tight fit pushing the screwdriver into the posts where the screws go into, picture 9.

That completes part 1 of this issue.

Issue 03 Part 2

The Helmet

First, take the mouthpiece studs and cables and place the stud onto the ends of the cables. Fit these into the left and right of the cable supports. Take the upper and lower red cables, note one is thicker than the other and place the thicker cable above the lower thinner cable. Picture 10 shows how the parts look when assembled.

Attach the two assemblies as shown in picture 11 and by turning the assembly over, secure each side with a type A screw, picture 12.

Fit the outer helmet studs onto the left and right internal neck rod, picture 13. Snap fit these two parts on to the side of the neck assembly slotting them into the corresponding holes, pictures 14 and 15.

Secure the helmet piece onto the already assembled helmet parts in the previous issue and secure with 2 x type B screws, picture 16.

Finally, attach the left and right mask rods into the holes on the mask as shown in picture 17.

Picture 18 shows the complete assembly for Part 2 of this issue.

Issue 04

The Helmet

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Place the right neck mesh to the right side of the neck, picture 2 and attach the neck connector as shown in picture 3. Note: Although the left and right connectors have different numbers, they are both identical.

Fit one of the washers for the neck connectors and secure it with a type D screw using the hex key provided to tighten it up. DO NOT over tighten, these do not take a lot to de-thread themselves, picture 4.

Place two studs onto the neck connector as shown in picture 5. Repeat the process for the left side, picture 6. Picture 7 shows the complete neck assembly.

Fit the front chest panel slider knobs as shown in picture 8. Note the smaller slider fits in the middle.

Picture 9 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 05

The Helmet

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Take the chest panel and attach the chest control buttons, securing it with a type G screw, pictures 2, 3 and 4.

Retrieve the neck assembly from the previous issue and attach the right neck connector, picture 5.

This next process is the same as the assembly in the previous issue.

Secure the neck connector in place using the neck connector washer and the type D screw using the hex key. Fit the studs into the neck connector as shown in picture 6.

Repeat the process for the opposite side, picture 7.

Place the internal metal disc of the helmet onto the internal ring mount, picture 8. Place the rear panel for the ring mount on top of the two pieces and secure with 2 x E type screws, picture 9.

Place the assembly inside the helmet and secure using 4 x Type F screws, picture 10.

Identify the upper side grills, they are all marked with the numbers on the back of the parts. Place 0507 to the top side, 0508 below. Now place 0509 to the lower side of the head and 0510 to the top of the head. Note: the magazine shows these two parts placed the opposite way around. Place them as instructed here and as shown in picture 11.

That completes the assembly for this issue.
