Hi, belated welcome, I've been overseas for the past 2 months, so I am betting my work takes up more of my time than yours... I am way behind now, so will have plenty to do when I get home, about 6 issues. Before I left, I just managed to get the launch finished, and have still to glue the ribs in place. I also have to get my scratch build done in time to be my son's Christmas present. Basically, I only have 2 months left, cos the rest of the time I am in Abu Dhabi. On the scratch, I have almost finished the 2nd layer of hull planking. Fortunately, I managed to get all my materials together, so all I have to do is stick it all together, and being a single masted vessel, the rigging won't be as much of a challenge as the Endeavour or the Victory. Anyway, good luck, patience, and most importantly, when you start getting tired or angry (highly likely) put it away for a while and take a break, that is when you make mistakes. It takes seconds to do something wrong, and if you are lucky, hours to fix it. Enjoy the build, it is incredibly satisfying and rewarding when you see your pile of twigs finally materialise into a work of art! Part time modeller, full time biker
Built: Pinta Belle Poule (plastic) Endeavour Scratch build of Pirate ship "Neptune" (Based on cutter "HMS Aldebaran" Current builds: Victory

Hi all Back in action with the Victory but it is going really slow. Only managed to finished one side of the FIRST port holes. I do think that for my very first attempt it does not look too bad. Hopefully I will have more time now for the build. Here are some pics

Good morning to all Hope all is well with your builds Just a small update on what has been going on with the sip build of mine As you can see a very slow pace but for a beginner it does not look to bad. Some advice and or remarks are greatly appreciated. Enjoy and good luck with your builds. Gerrit
