STAGE 3:

Left front wheel.

Pic 1: Press the outer rim 3B fully into the front of the tyre, 3A.

Pic 2: Turn the wheel over and fit the rear rim, 3C making sure the locating tabs line up with those on the back of the front rim.
Fix the parts together with 3 x AM screws.

Pic 3: Fit the brake cover plate, 3D to the inside of the wheel so the ribbed pattern is facing.
The part will only fit one way.

Pic 4: Stage now complete.

Store all of the parts safely for now.

STAGE 4A:

Left front brake and boot/trunk lid.

Pic 1: Turn the boot/trunk lid – part 4A – upside down and clean as much paint as you can away from the hinge bracket fixing posts as possible for both hinge locations.
The brackets will not sit flush if you omit this possibly resulting in a lid that does not sit level with the body in this area when completed.

Pic 2: Fit the hinge brackets 4B and 4C as shown, securing them with 2 x CM screws on each bracket.
Make sure the parts sit flush.

Pic 3: On the upper face of the panel, fit the hinge pin surround 4D and fix using 2 x ZM screws.
Take care not to mark the surrounding red paint.

Pic 4: Pin surrounds both fitted.

Pic 5: Fit the brake line 4L to the caliper 4K in the small locating holes highlighted in the picture.

STAGE 4B:

Pic 6: Locate the hub upright 4G. The fixing holes for attaching the caliper are shown.

Pic 7: Shows the parts assembled.

Pic 8: Fix the parts together from the other side with 2 x EP screws.

Pic 9: Fit the suspension arm 4H into the housing 4L as shown.

Pic 10: Fit the bracket 4J in place and fix with 2 x AM screws.

Pic 11: Locate the disc parts 4M and 4N. They will fit together face-to-face.

Pic 12: Press the two parts together as shown.
They will only fit one way.

Pic 13: Fit the disc to the hub and caliper as shown.

Store all of the parts including the unused screws FM and NM safely for now.

STAGE 5A:

Front wheel and cylinder heads.

Pic 1: Retrieve the steering wheel and centre cap, 3G and 4F from the previous stages.
Press the cap onto the steering wheel centre.

Pic 2: Locate the steering wheel stickers, 4E.

Pic 3: Wrap one sticker around the wheel spokes as shown.

Pic 4: Locate the front wheel, hub upright and brake disc, 4G and 4M from the previous issues.

Pic 5: Fit the disc and hub into the back of the wheel. The disc will only fit one way so the slot in the centre locates in the rib on the wheel centre.
NOTE – You may have to loosen the two screws indicated to fit the caliper, and then tighten them again.

Pic 6: Fit the washer, 3F into the front of the wheel and fix the hub using 1 x NM screw.
Press the centre cap 3E in place.

Pic 7: BUILDER’S TIP – You may decide not to fit the wheel at this early stage as it is a heavy component and there could be a chance of accidental suspension damage as the build progresses.
Store the parts, safely labelled for future use.
This step is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 8: Locate the hub and suspension arm, 4G and 4H.

Pic 9: Fit the parts together as shown and fix with 1 x FM screw.
Make sure the arm and attached bracket are the right way up.

Pic 10: Shows the assembly from a different angle.

Pic 11: Locate the left cylinder head parts 5A and 5D. They are marked ‘L’.

Pic 12: Fit the parts together as shown and fix from underneath with 2 x EP screws.

Pic 13: Fit the two smaller breather parts 5E as shown, with the narrower side downwards.

Pic 14: Fit the top breather parts, 2 x 5F as shown.

STAGE 5C:

Pic 15: Assemble the right cylinder head parts 5B and 5G as shown and fix using 2 x EP screws underneath.

Pic 16: Locate the spark plug sprue 5C.
Each plug will fit in the holes circled.

Pic 17: Fit the plugs as shown making sure they point upwards.

Pic 18: Both cylinder heads completed.

Store all of the parts safely for now.
