STAGE 74:

Fitting the door.

NOTE: There may be an unexplained black rectangular part in the pack.
This does not appear in the build instructions and seems to serve no purpose.
However, it might be wise to store this part 'just in case'.

Pic 1: Fit the inner roof panel 74A to the inside top of the door and fix using 4 x NM screws.
Make sure the wire 72F exits through the small slot as shown.

Pic 2: Fit the hydraulic arm 74B as shown and secure with the bracket 74C.
Fix using 1 x QM screw.

Pic 3: Feed the wire 72F through the opening in the body roof as shown.

Pic 4: Carefully locate the hinges on the upper edge of the door in their locating holes on the body.
With the door in place, temporarily secure it with low tack masking tape.
It will make the next step far easier.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 5: Turn the body over and fix the hinges in place using 2 x QM screws as shown.
Make sure the screws are tight but not over tight as this could result in stripping the threads in the body.

Pic 6: Turn the body the right way up again and remove the masking tape if you used any.
Carefully prop the door open and fix the end of the hydraulic arm 74B to the upper edge of the door as shown using 1 x QM screw.

BUILDER’S TIP: You may find it an advantage to tape the door closed for now using low tack masking tape.
The body will need to be turned over many times in the coming stages and it will prevent the door accidentally falling open and possibly breaking the small hinges.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 75:

Upper roof panel.

BUILDER’S TIP: You will now see why it may be an advantage to have the doors held closed for now using low tack masking tape.
The body will need to be turned over many times in the coming stages and it will prevent the doors accidentally falling open and possibly breaking the small hinges.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 1: Fit the two brackets 2 x 75B to the edges of the roof panel 75A and fix from underneath using 1 x AP screw in each.

Pic 2: Fit the roof panel in place as shown.

Pic 3: With the body upside down, secure the roof panel from the inside using 5 x NM screws.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 76:

Front wings/fenders.

Pic 1: Fit the two trim parts 76B and 76C to the front wing panel 76A.

Pic 2: Fix from the other side with 3 x AP screws.

Pic 3: Fit the wing panel to the car body.
You may find it helpful to hold the part in place with low tack masking tape.
This is at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 4: Turn the model over paying attention that the doors do not fall open if you have not secured them with low tack masking tape.
Fix the wing panel from the inside using 4 x DM screws.
Perseverance is key here as some of the screws are very difficult to get at.

Pic 5: Retrieve the assembled front wing from stage 2 and fit it to the other side of the car.

Pic 6: Turn the model over paying attention that the doors do not fall open if you have not secured them with low tack masking tape.
Fix the wing panel from the inside using 4 x DM screws.
Bear in mind some of the screws are very difficult to get at.

Store the model safely for now.
