As I near the end of my lotus build (just finished step 100!) my attention is now going to turn back to my MP4/23 and MP4/4 builds

They are really showing their age and need some TLC and brought back to their showroom condition

Unfortunately, when I moved house a few years ago, I trusted my parents to look after my 2 builds whilst we carried out a full house renovation
But.....

The 2 Mclarens were left in their bay window subject to brutal beating by the sun

So this means my MP4/4 has turned a little yellow where it should be white, and both cars decals are just awful

Sourcing 1:8 decals shouldn't be a problem, but my question is.....

How do you safely remove the old decals without causing too much damage to the body work?

A good friend of mine is going to treat and respray the MP4/4 back to white, so that's not an issue

Any help would be greatly appreciated

To remove the decals on the GT40 I used acetone free nail varnish remover.
They came off in seconds without any harm to the gloss paint.
Bear in mind the GT40 body is all metal so test it on a small inconspicuous area.

That's great, thanks for the heads up

Will pick some up, suspect it'll be a couple of weeks but will want to ensure they're back to their best
