Hi All, BigGrin

Here we are at the start of a new pack. This pack covers Issues 81 - 86.

In Issue 81 we start to build ET`s body framework, starting with the left shoulder.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need ET on his stand from the last update.

Handling the contactless sensor 81-02 carefully, plug the cable 81-03 into it as in Pic 2. Now pass the unattached end of the cable, through the left shoulder support 81-01, Pic 3. DO NOT stick the sensor to the support at this time.

Place the shoulder support onto the main body and fix it in position with 2 x P-TP screws as indicated in Pic 4.

Fitting the Sensor - My method:

So as not to get your fingers all over the adhesive side of the sensor, peel the backing paper away from both sides of the cable attachment to the half way point approx. Feed the cable attachment into the recess in the support plate and gently press that half into place, Pic 5. Continue to remove the backing paper, pressing the sensor into place as you go, until the whole panel is stuck down, Pic 6.

That`s all for this update, with Pics 7 and 8 showing the final result.

Hi All, BigGrin

Time for the ET issue 82 update. Its very much the same as the previous update (left side shoulder), just the other side now (right).

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need ET on his stand.

Connect the cable 82-03 to the sensor 82-02, Pic 2 and feed the cable through the shoulder bracket 82-01, as shown in Pic 3.

With the cable trailing behind ET, fit the shoulder bracket using 2 x P-TP screws, Pic 4. Remove the backing paper from the sensor and carefully position it on the shoulder as before, Pic 5.

That`s it for this update, Pics 6 and 7. See you soon for Issue 83.

Hi All, BigGrin

Here we go with the update for Issue 83.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need ET on his stand from the previous issue.

Line up the posts and holes on parts 83.01 and 83.02 and press the parts fully together, as shown in Pic 2. Then turn the back plate over and via the elongated slots near the sides, turn 2 x P.TPB (long) screws into position as shown in Pic 3. NOTE: Just start the screws, do not turn them all the way in.

Place ET with his back toward you and position the rear plate, fixing it into position with 2 x P.TP (short) screws, indicated in Pic 4.

Now carefully tighten the two screws P.TPB via the side slots indicated in Pic 5.

That`s all for this update with the back of ET shown in Pic 6.

Hi All, BigGrin

Here we are with the Issue 84 update.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main model on the stand from the previous update.

Position the two parts of the chest 84-01 and 84-02 together as shown in Pics 2 and 3. Then add the 2 x P-TPB "long" screws as in Pic 4. NOTE: Do not fully insert these screws yet.

Position the chest onto ET, engaging the two posts at the top with the back plates. Fix the front plate to the main frame with 2 x P-TP "short" screws, then tighten the 2 x P-TPB screws located earlier. All shown/indicated in Pic 5.

That`s all for this update, Pic 6.

Hi All, BigGrin

This is the update for Issue 85 and will be coming in three parts.

All parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the main body assembly of ET.

In part 1 we will assemble the left side chest sensor.

Start by plugging the cable 85-04 into the sensor 85-03 as in Pic 2, then feed the other end of the cable through the sensor bracket 85-02, Pic 3.

As before, I chose to peel only half the backing paper off the sensor as shown in Pic 4. I then positioned the socket of the sensor into the bracket and stuck down the first half of the sensor, Pic 5. To finish this part I removed the rest of the backing and fixed the sensor fully into position, as shown in Pic 6.

Parts 2 and 3 coming very soon.ThumpUp ThumpUp

I`m back, LOL

Ok, in part 2 we fit the sensor assembly from part 1 and add the rest of the ribs supplied.

With ET on the table, carefully press the sensor bracket (from part 1) into position, as shown in Pic 7, with the detail of how the parts engage, indicated in Pic 8.

Take one of the ribs supplied 85-01 and position the cable from the sensor into the hook at the rear of the rib, shown in Pic 9. Now fit the rib into the position under the sensor, as shown in Pic 10 and repeat the procedure for the second rib 85-01, Pic 11.

That`s all for this update, with the big wire plug-in coming in part 3.

Hi All, BigGrin

With a fresh mug of coffee, here comes part 3, the final update for this issue #85.

In this update we have a plug-in session, with all those loose cables that are hanging around.

We start with the sensor cable we fitted earlier in this issue. Feed the plug end of the cable from the front of ET to the back, through the gap directly beneath the lowest rib (indicated by the white arrow) Pic 12. At the rear fit the plug into the socket indicated in Pic 13.

We now start to deal with the cables that come up from inside the base.

Plug the IR sensor cable (heavy duty black insulation) into the rear socket indicated in Pic 14 by the yellow arrow.

Now cast your mind back to issue 65 Crying, where we had a cable that consisted of two white wires and two cables (red/black wires) that you marked A and B, all connected in the base. These three cables all plug in to the front sockets as shown in Pic 15 (double white),Pic 16 (A) and Pic 17 (B).

That`s it for this update with a much tidier ET shown in Pic 18.

Hi All, BigGrin

Here we are with the last update for this pack, Issue 86.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need ET on his stand.

In this session we fit the rear left ribs onto ET. Locate the cable from the left shoulder sensor and place it into the hook on the rear of one of the ribs 86-01, as shown in Pic 2. Then engage the rib into the top position of the side plate, Pic 3, making sure that the rib is fully engaged.

Repeat the above operation with the other 3 x 86-01 ribs, with the result shown in Pic 4.

That just leaves where to plug in the cable from the left shoulder sensor, which is in the rear of the circuit board as indicated in Pic 5.

ET`s completed left side ribs are shown in Pic 6. Just have to wait for the next delivery now.
