Picture 1 show the parts for this issue.

Assembling the Base

Join the left and right parts of the clamp (102A – 102B) and align the four holes. Half insert the pin (102D), picture 2, then place the spring (102C) over the pin, picture 3. Finally push the pin all the way, you may need a pair of pincers to help, pictures 4 and 5.

Slide the assembly over the support rod (102E) as shown in picture 6.

Retrieve the base assembly and place the other end of the support rod into the hole on the top of the base, picture 7. Turn the assembly over and secure it in place using a NM screw, picture 8.

Picture 9 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 103 Part 1

Assembling the Right Hand.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Lots of parts in this issue and it’s all fingers and thumbs.LOL LOL

A little note before we start this issue. You will need a small pair of pliers to push the little pins into the joints; some go in a lot smoother than others. It is very important that you double check each part for its orientation before fitting them together with the pins, as once the pins are in situ, it will not be easy to dismantle if you make a mistake. Another note is that the pins are not labelled in their bags. There are three bags of pins, one bag with 4 pins is 103I, the other two bags have 5 pins in each and look the same. Take a pin from each of these bags and set the two side by side. You will see that the pin 103J is a fraction smaller then 103K, and when I say a fraction smaller it is very hard to see unless they are side by side. Once identified, make a note of which is which and set aside.

I have split this issue into two parts because of the number of pictures taken, let’s get started.

Take the two parts (103C) and (103E), paying attention to the orientation and push the pin (103J) into the joint as shown in pictures 2 and 3. Take the thumb joint (103D), again making sure you have the correct position before attaching to the assembly with a 103K pin, pictures 4 and 5. Push fit part the joint plate (103F) into the top slot on the assembly, pictures 6 and 7.

Continue fitting the remaining first joints/fingertips (103C and 103E) with the shorter pin 103J, pictures 8 and 9. Fit the remaining joint plates in place as shown in picture 10.

That completes the assembly for part one of this issue.

Issue 103 Part 2

Assembling the Right Hand.

Identify all the left and right joint plates as illustrated in picture 11.

Press the left (103G) and right (103H) plates into the third joints (103A), pictures 12, 13 and 14.

Insert this joint assembly into the respective second joints, using the pin 103K, pictures 15 and 16. Do the same with the remaining three joints, picture 17.

Fit the four knuckles (103B) into their respective third joints, using the 103I pin, making sure you have the right orientation, pictures 18, 19 and 20.

Picture 21 shows the complete assembly and part two for this issue.

The Ion Blaster

Push the sight cylinder (105D) into the sight (105B), pictures 2 and 3. Fix the sight assembly to the large power reservoir (105H) and secure it in place using 2 x PP screws, pictures 4 and 5. Place the core nexus (105G) inside the large power reservoir and secure with an IP screw, picture 6. Place in the other half of the power reservoir (105E) followed by the large reservoir cover (105J), pictures 7 and 8.

Fit the left cover (105N) into the central blaster body from issue 99, pictures 9 and 10. Insert the centre blaster core body (105C) inside the assembly and secure it in place using an IP screw as shown in picture 11. Fit the lower cover (105L), to the core body, pictures 12 and 13.

Issue 105 Part 2

The Ion Blaster

Fit the half cylinder (105M) as shown in picture 14, followed by the cylinder cap (105O), picture 15. Note: I applied a little glue to the cap to hold it in place.

Insert the assembly you’ve just made and place it into the slots of the previous assembly, securing it with an IP screw, pictures 16 and 17.

Take the assembly you made in issue 99 and attach it to this assembly using 2 x MP screws, picture 18.

Join the two halves of the smaller power reservoir (105I and 105F) and then place the cap (105K) on the end, pictures 19 and 20. Place the assembly inside the part (105A) and secure it using an IP screw, picture 21. Now attach this assembly to the rest of the blaster assembly as shown in pictures 22 and 23.

Picture 24 shows the complete assembly for this issue.

Issue 106 Part 1

Assembling the Left Arm.

Picture 1 shows the contents of the parts for this issue.

Fit the gun anchor (106B) with the opening facing the ball joint and secure to the outer forearm (106A) using 2 x IP screws, pictures 2 and 3. Fit the wrist joint (106F) into the end of the forearm using two IP screws, picture 4.

Insert the elbow nut (106J) into the hole of the elbow bracket (106C), picture 5.

Place one of the disks (106I) into the round end of the assembly as shown in picture 6. Note that this disk has the ribs in the convex position on the face. I also used a spot of glue to hold these in place whilst fitting the assembly.

Place a (106H) disk into the elbow as shown in picture 7. Now place the remaining two disks into the other side of the elbow and the inner forearm (106D). Close the assembly by placing the inner forearm and outer forearm together, picture 8.

That completes part 1 of this issue.

Issue 106 Part 2

Assembling the Left Arm.

Place the part 106C with the nut onto the forearm as shown in picture 9. Take the bolt, spring washer and washer, picture 10, and feed it through the hole in the forearm. Screw it into the nut on the other side using the socket wrench supplied in issue 44, picture 11.

Finish securing the assembly with two IP screws as shown in picture 12.

Place the wrist joint (106E) into the corresponding end of the forearm, guiding its two pins into the grooves rotating clockwise until it is fixed in position, pictures 13 and 14.

Finally snap the wrist socket into the wrist joint as shown in picture 15. Check the movement of the hand.

Picture 16 shows the complete assembly for this issue.
