Hi All,
This is the start of Pack 19, with issue 84 where we build and fit the steering column.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the passenger area assembly.
We start with the micro switch assembly, that will control the lights and horn of the model. Then in the second half of this update, we finish and fit the steering assembly to the car interior.
Take the switch holder 84-F and the wired switch 84-K1 (labelled 05) positiong the switch in the frame as shown in Pic 2. Continue by positioning the micro switches 84-K2 (06) and 84-K3 (07) as shown in Pics 3 and 4.
Now add the light operating levers 84-G and 84-H onto the locating pins inside the column lower cover 84-D, Pic 5.
"Fiddley Bit Alert": We now fit the switch assembly from earlier, between the light operating levers. You must be sure to get the switch operating buttons flat to the levers (circled in yellow) and then fix the parts together with a PS12 screw. All shown in Pic 6.
Next fit the micro switch 84-K4 (08) inside the upper column cover 84-C as in Pic 7, then (being careful not to trap any wires) bring the two halves of the column together and fix them in position with 2 x PS05 screws as in Pic 8.
Part 2, finishing and fitting the steering column, coming very soon.

I`m back
Parts are those lef over from part 1 of this update, along with the steering column cover (part 1) and passenger section assembly.
I start with a word of caution: The first task is to fit the steering wheel 84-A to the central column 84-B. Try the fit to see if the flat end of the column fits fully into the wheel (Do Not use excessive force). If, like myself the parts would not engage, remove the paint from the flat end of the column only. I found a sharp craft knife worked, as a file might remove metal as well, causing a loose fit. My result shown in Pic 9.
Next, press fit the wheel centre 84-I as shown in Pic 10, then fit the steering column connector 84-J into the rear of the wheel as shown in Pic 11.
Bring the column cover from part 1 of this update, back to the table and carefully feed the centre column with the sterring wheel through it, as shown in Pic 12. Make sure the parts are fully engaged, so there is a minimal gap at the point indicated by the arrow. Pic 13 shows the completed column.
Mounting the steering column: With the interior assembly on the table, feed the column and wires carefully underneath the dashboard and through the hole in the bulkhead as in Pic 14. The steering wheel is resting on the drivers seat at this point. With the longer stalk on the left side of the steering column, fit the lug of the column into position (outside the bulkhead) and fix the parts together, using the column anchor 84-E (engaging the locating pin) and a PS05 screw, Pic 15.
Pics 16 and 17 show the assembly at the end of this update.

Hi All,
Its time for the issue 86 update, where we will add more parts to the radiator started in the previous issue.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, ypu will also need the parts from issue 85.
Place the fan support 85-C onto the spindle of the fan 86-B as shown in Pic 2, making sure the four pins on the fan support engage with the four holes in the fan.
Position the fan and support into the centre of the rear radiator assembly from the previous issue, as in Pic 3 and fix the parts together from behind using a PS05 screw, indicated in Pic 4.
Finally place the shroud 86-A around the fan, engaging the pin on its rear face into the hole in the radiator grille and body, Pic 5. The shroud will be fixed into position in issue 87.

Hi All,
Here we are with the next update for the 1:6 Mustang, Issue 87. In this update we build some more of the radiator.
Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the radiator parts constructed so far.
Position the grille 87-B, onto the radiator front 87-A as in Pic 2. Then fix the parts together with 4 x PS24 screws, indicated in Pic 3.
Now, fit the radiator overflow pipe 87-D onto the small pin on the cap 87-E, Pic4. Then position the cap into the keyhole slot in the radiator top 87-C, Pic 5 and fix it into position with a PS05 screw, shown in Pic 6.
Press the radiator top onto the pins of the radiator rear, as in Pic 7 and then press the radiator front into position as shown in Pic 8. Finally (from the rear side), fix the assembly together with 4 x PS05 screws as shown in Pic 9.
That`s all for this update.

Hi All,
Here we are at the end of another pack, with Issue 88. Coming in two posts, the update covers the Air Filter and then the top of the engine, last seen way back in Issue 3.
All parts supplied.....Pic 1.
Start with the air filter base 88-A and place the air valves (1 and 2) 88-F and 88-G into their keyhole slots as in Pic 2. Then, hold the valves in place and from the other side of the base, secure them with 2 x PS02 screws as in Pic 3.
Now position the air tube 88-E into the filter base, Pic 4 and fix it from the opposite side of the base with a PS02 screw, Pic 5.
Fiddley bit alert: Fitting the filter side panel 88-D.
First tip is do not try pre-bending the part and the second is to have the bending groove in the tabs facing outwards.
My method: Refer to Pic 6 and the start/finish point. Going clockwise or anti clockwise makes no difference, so engage the first tag into the hole in the base channel and carefully feed the side panel into the channel as you go. When you reach the curved area, ease the side panel into the channel a small bit at a time so there is no need to put any sharp bends in the part. Continue the full length of the part, engaging all six tabs. Then keep the side panel fully in its slot and bend the six tabs in towards the centre as you go round the base. Result shown in Pic 7.
Now position the air filter interior 88-B as in Pic 8, noting that it sits just below the top edge of the side panel just fitted. Then add the filter cover 88-C, as in Pic 9 making sure that the side panel fits into the channel in the top, all the way round. Finally, from below, fix the filter parts together with a PS02 screw, indicated in Pic 10.
Part 2 coming soon.

Hi, I`m back
Issue 88, part 2.
Ok, so the parts required are those left over from part 1 and the engine top from way back in Issue 3.
For those just following along, Pic 11 shows the engine part where we start and for those actually building this, a reminder of what you are looking for in that big box.
Position the carb (I can`t spell carburetor) connecting rod 88-I onto the engine and fix it with a DS01 screw as shown in Pic 12.
Next add the spring bracket 88-K, engaging the locating pin and fixing it in place with a DS01 screw, Pic 13. Now fit the rod 88-H by fitting the pin end into the hole in the engine and fixing the locating tab with a DS01 screw, all shown in Pic 14.
Finally fit the spring 88-J between the two points indicated in Pic 15.
Pic 16 shows the final result for this part of the update, with the total end results shown in Pic 17.
