Issue 81

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Fitting the Detect-A-Scope Screen

Begin by slotting the detect-a-scope screen (81C) into the bezel (81B), picture 2. Fit the assembly to the console (81A) and secure it using 2 x KP screws, pictures 3 and 4. Fit the LED housing (81D) as shown in picture 5, using an AP screw.

Warning: This next part is very fiddly. I would recommend using your fingers only (not tweezers) for the placement of the knobs around the console. They are quite hard to push in. If you have the same problem, take some of the excess paint off the pins, this will help. I also used some glue on the inside of the console once the knobs had been fitted to hold them in place.

Follow the illustration in picture 6 to insert the knobs in their respective positions.

Before attaching the scopes LED, you must first detach it from the wiring loom on the car. The LED to use is marked “M” as shown in picture 7. Now place the LED to the underside of the console pushing into the hole in the LED housing, picture 8. Note: I also used a little glue to hold it in place. Fit the completed console onto the upper dashboard and secure it in place using 2 x AP screws, pictures 9 and 10.

Installing the Interior Floor.
The next step is to attach the interior floor to the car. Before you start, I would recommend aligning all the cables, if you’ve not already done so, to make sure they are all in their right positions as the interior floor will cover the circuit board.

Place the interior floor onto the car as shown in picture 11. Holding it in place turn the whole car assembly over and secure the interior floor with 4 x EP screws in the holes as shown in picture 12.

Picture 13 shows the complete assembly for this issue.
