Hi All, BigGrin

Time for a two part update on the 1:6 Mustang with Issue 89 of the latest pack.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the end assemblies from Issue 88.

Start with the front carburetor (1) 89-C (marked F inside) and noting the keyway slot, position the diaphragm cover 89-I as in Pic 2, fixing the parts from underneath with a PS02 screw, Pic 3. Now press fit this assembly to the front carburetor (2) 89-D, Pic 4.

Next, press the two parts of the rear carburetor 89-E and 89-F together as shown in Pic 5.

Finally for this part of the update, fit a pipe 89-G to each carburtetor (noting the different sized locating pins) as shown in Pics 6 and 7.

Coming back soon with part 2. Blink

Hi, I`m back LOL

Issue 89 part 2. Parts are those left over from part 1 of this update.

Retrieve the engine assembly from Issue 88. Position the front (F) and rear (R) mounting plates 89B and 89A as shown in Pic 8. Now place each carburetor into position as shown in Pic 9, noting the difference indicated by the white arrow.

"Quick heads up": At this point I chose to fit the next two parts before fitting the air filter, not one before and one after. I prefer "easy".

So, fit the fuel feed 89-J and the dual carburetor tube 89-H as indicated in Pic 10.

Carefully position the air filter onto the carburetors (without disturbing thier positions) and fit the free end of the pipe into the engine, indicated in Pic 11.

Hold the parts together and from underneath, fix them together with 2 x PS02 screws, Pic 12.

That`s all for this update, with both sides of the final assembly shown in Pics 13 and 14.

Hi All, BigGrin

It`s 1:6 Mustang time with Issue 90.

Parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the engine assembly from the last update.

Start by press fitting the connector 90-F into the engine front 90-A as in Pic 2.Then on the inside of the engine front, fit the front support 90-C and secure it with 2 x DS02 screws as in Pic 3. Carefully store this assembly for later use.

Remove a distributor connector 90-D from the fret and press the thin pin into one of the ignition leads 90-G, shown in Pic 4. Repeat this process seven more times so you have eight leads with a connector attached to each.

Remove a ninth connector 90-D from the fret (tenth is a spare, keep it safe) and fit the "D" shaped pin into the centre hole in the distributor 90-B, Pic 5.

Take one of the connectors on its lead and fit it into a position in the top of the distributor, Pic 6. NOTE: the "D" shaped pins and holes determine which way each lead lays and a "very small" spot of glue can be used if a connector is a loose fit.

Now fit the remaining seven leads/connectors in the same manner, Pic 7.

Turn the previous assembly upside down and fit the distributor base 90-E to it, Pic 8. This part will only fit in one position due to the slot and protrusion on the parts.

Carefully hold the distributor parts together and position them into place on the engine assembly from the previous update, Pic 9. Again this parts orientation is determined by another key and slot. Finally fix the distributor into its position from underneath, with a PS02 screw. Shown in Pic 10.

The end results of this update are shown in Pic 11.

Hi All, BigGrin

I`m back with the Issue 92 update, that`s coming in two parts.

All parts supplied.....Pic 1, you will also need the engine front panel and radiator from earlier.

Position the starter motor parts 92-C and 92-D together (engaging the keyway) as shown in Pic 2. Add part 92-E to the previous assembly, Pic 3 and then add the pulley 92-H (also engaging the keyway), Pic 4. Now hold the parts in position and fix them using a PS05 screw, shown in Pic 5.

Next position the starter bracket 92B onto the front engine panel, (using the locating pin for orientation), Pic 6 and fix the bracket from behind the front panel with a PS05 screw as shown in Pic 7.

Finally, for this part of the update, fix the starter to the bracket with 2 x PS05 screws as in Pic 8. Part 2 coming very soon.

Hi All, I`m back. Blink

Part 2 of this update, uses the remaining parts supplied from Part 1. The addition to the radiator will be at the end of this update.

Staying with the engine front panel, add the pulley 92-F fixing it into position with a DS02 screw, Pic 9. Then add the next pulley 92-G, fixing its position with a further DS02 screw, Pic 10.

Take two of the three belts 92-I and position them onto the three pullies shown in Pic 11. Then fit the third belt between the crankshaft pulley and the starter pulley as shown in Pic 12. That`s the front engine panel finished for now, Pic 13.

Now for the little bit on the radiator. Position the radiator support 92-A onto the bottom of the radiator, fixing it with 2 x PS05 screws as in Pic 14.

The final assemblies for this two part update are shown in Pic 15.
