STAGE 15:

Front centre chassis.

Pic 1: Locate the chassis 15A and the tyre bracket 15B.
Fit them together as shown and fix using 1 x BM screw.

Pic 2: Detail of fixing.

Pic 3: Fit the other tyre bracket 15C to the other side of the frame 15A and fix using 1 x BM screw.

Pic 4: Detail of fixing.

Pic 5: Fit one of the exhaust clamp springs 15D to the small hole in the frame 15A as shown.

Pic 6: Fit the other spring 15D to the hole on the other side of the frame as shown.

It is advisable not to fit these springs just yet and save them safely as they are a loose fit and there is a risk of losing them in future stages of the build.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.


Save the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 16:

Rear left chassis.

Pic 1: Locate the chassis parts 16A and 16B and fit them together as shown.

Pic 2: Fix the parts together from the other side with 4 x AM screws.

Pic 3: Fit the air duct 16C to the long post on part 16B and secure with 1 x RP screw.

Pic 4: Fit the bracket 16D as shown to the top of the frame 16A and secure with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 5: Shows the completed assembly.

Save the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 17A:

Rear left chassis.

Pic 1: Retrieve the previous chassis assembly and fit the frame 17A as shown.

Pic 2: From the other side, fix the parts with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 3: Fit the filter cap 17D to the filter body 17C.

Pic 4: Fit the gold filter cover 17E as shown.

Pic 5: Press-fit the blue connector 17F into the side of the filter body.

Pic 6: Fit the assembly into the filter centre section 17G and fix from below with 1 x AP screw.

Pic 7: Fit the filter base 17H as shown and fix using 2 x AP screws.

STAGE 17B:

Pic 8: Press-fit the blue connector 17I into the filter base.

Pic 9: Fit the assembly into the circular section on the frame 17A as shown and fix from underneath with 1 x UP screw.

Pic 10: Fit the tube 17J to the pin on the upper blue connector 17F.

Pic 11: Fit the tube 17K to the pin on the side of the filter cap 17D.

Pic 12: Fit the grey tube 17L to the pin on the lower blue connector 17I.

Pic 13: Stage complete.

Store all parts safely for now.

STAGE 18A:

Rear left suspension.

Pic 1: Fit the engine assembly into the frame as shown.

Pic 2: Shows the fitting from a different angle.

Pic 3: Secure the parts using 2 x AM screws.

Pic 4: Secure the transmission end of the engine to the frame with 2 x SM screws.

Pic 5: Locate all the parts to assemble the shock absorber – 18B, 18C, 18D, 18G and 18H.

Pic 6: Use the clamp frame 18G to hold the parts together and fit one of the pins 18H through the hole in the shock absorber part 18D.

STAGE 18 B:

Pic 7: Make two shock absorbers.
NOTE – Do not lose the clamp frame 18G as it will be needed to assemble two more shock absorbers in a later stage and another clamp frame is not provided.

Pic 8: Fit the shock absorbers into the locations on the upper wishbone 18A.
Note the angle of the top flanges – these must angle outwards.
Secure with 2 x BM screws.

Pic 9: Fit the tie rod 18E as shown and fix with 1 x ABM screw.

Pic 10: Fit the wishbone to the engine frame as shown and fix with 2 x ANM screws.

Pic 11: Fit the tops of the shock absorbers into the upper bracket 16A and fix with 2 x ABM screws.

Pic 12: Fit the lower wishbone 18F in place as shown and fix using 2 x ANM screws.

Store the assembly safely for now.
