I've just been reading through the instructions of the parts I've received so far, and also watching a couple of online build logs on this model. I was wondering, do you know the step number that would be the last opportunity to retain the gear lever in place (PS05 screw from underneath).

The official instructions install it in Step 57, but at least one of the builders points out how vunerable it is to being broken off during the later interior build steps. I'm thinking of installing it last minute ThumpUp.

Hi Sloucher

Derek who has been doing the official build on this Mustang is taking a short break for a while due to health reasons, but will be back shortly.
Looking at his build log so far, I think it looks as though you could leave installing that part until most of the interior has been built. As long as you still have access to the installation of the gear lever and still being able to secure it with the screw from under the floor, you should be okay.

Mark

Thanks Mark

Indeed, I think I agree, having had this issue with other car kits. I'll store it until it becomes impractical to install it any later BigGrin

Get well soon Derek ThumpUp
