STAGE 43:

Right front wheel.

Pic 1: Immerse the tyre 43A in a bowl of hot water for around two minutes.
Take care here.

Pic 2: Remove the tyre from the hot water using tongs.

Pic 3: Dry the tyre inside and out and lay it on a firm surface.
Place the wheel 43B on top of the tyre.

Pic 4: Press firmly down on the wheel so that it goes into the tyre.

Pic 5: Shows the wheel with the tyre fitted.

Pic 6: Retrieve the main car assembly and the front brake disc 41L from stage 41.
Locate the washer 43C and screw DM.

Pic 7: Fit the disc to the hub and fix with the DM screw through the washer 43C.

Pic 8: The printed instructions suggest fitting the wheel to the car now using 4 x AM screws.
The wheel will be fitted near the end of the build due to the extra weight on the assembly at this stage could cause problems due to constantly turning the model upside down and back again during future stages of the build.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 9: If you do not fit the wheel, save it and the labelled fixing screws safely.

STAGE 44A:

Spare wheel bracket.

Pic 1: Fit the small bracket 44B onto the main wheel bracket 44A as shown and fix from behind with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 2: Stick three of the self-adhesive pads 44G onto the strap 44E in the positions shown.

Pic 3: Feed one end of the strap through the loop on the bracket 44A as shown.
Peel off the backing paper from the adhesive pad and fold the strap over to secure it.
The adhesive pads are not very secure so you may wish to use a dot of adhesive here.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 4: Close up of the strap join.

Pic 5: Feed the metal loop 44F onto the strap as shown.

Pic 6: Fit the other end of the strap to the main frame in the same way, as shown.
The adhesive pads are not very secure so you may wish to use a dot of adhesive here.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 7: Holding the metal loop 44F in place, squeeze the strap together after removing the backing paper from the adhesive pad.

STAGE 44B:

Pic 9: Locate the bracket 44C (Left) and fit it to the main frame as shown.

Pic 10: Locate the bracket 44D (Right) and fit it to the other end of the main frame as shown.

Pic 11: Retrieve the main car assembly and turn it so the engine is towards you.
Make sure the arms 15B and 15C are laying down as shown.

Pic 12: Fit the tyre bracket assembly to the lower rear of the engine frame as shown with the bracket 44C(L) locating in the slots on the inside of the engine frame.
Fix from the other side with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 13: Fit the other end of the tyre bracket assembly to the lower rear of the engine frame as shown with the bracket 44D(Right) locating in the slots on the inside of the engine frame.
Fix from the other side with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 14: Fit the arm 15C into the bracket 44B and fix using 1 x BM screw.

Pic 15: Fit the other bracket 15B to the tyre bracket 44A and fix with 1 x SP screw.

Pic 16: Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 45A:

Exhaust.

Pic 1: Locate the exhaust part 45A and the wrap strips 45C.

Pic 2: Peel one of the strips 45C from the backing sheet and carefully stick it around the exhaust part 45A as shown.
There will be wrinkles and creases but there would be on the real car.

Pic 3: Fit the other exhaust half 45B as shown.

Pic 4: Line up the other adhesive strip and fix it to the exhaust part 45B as shown.

Pic 5: Retrieve the main assembly and position the exhaust as shown, lining up the holes in the end flange with the holes in the turbo unit.
Fix with 2 x KP screws in the upper two holes.

STAGE 45B:

Pic 6: Turn the model upside down and fit 2 x KP screws in the other two holes.

Pic 7: With the model still upside down, retrieve the two springs 15D from stage 15 and fit them to the frame and exhaust as shown.

Pic 8: Turn the model the right way up and fit the support bracket 45D between the exhaust and frame as shown.

Pic 9: Fit the front bracket 45E in place and fix with 2 x CP screws.

Pic 10: Press-fit the two filter parts 45F and 45G together. They will only fit one way.

Pic 11: Press-fit the assembly onto the two pins on the exhaust manifold as shown.
It will only fit one way.

Pic 12: Fit the secondary pipe 45G between the filter assembly and the side of the exhaust.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 46A:

Oil radiator.

Pic 1: Fit the lower half of the radiator 46B to the upper rear engine frame as shown and fix with 2 x CM screws

Pic 2: Press-fit the upper half of the radiator 46A in place with the oil line fittings to the right when viewed from behind.

Pic 3: Connect the black line 17J as shown.

Pic 4: Connect the silver line 17L as shown.

Pic 5: Fit the radiator brace 46D in place between the radiator and engine frame.
Fix with 1 x ACP screw and 1 x QM screw.

STAGE 46B:

Pic 6: Fit the clip 46G over the 190mm piece of strap 46E.
Attach a piece of double sided tape 46J to the end of the fabric.

Pic 7: Peel the backing from the tape and fold it over clip, sticking it down firmly.

Pic 8: Attach a piece of tape 46J to one end of the 40mm fabric 46F.

Pic 9: Feed the fabric through the end of the buckle 46H as shown, peel off the backing paper from the tape and fold it over, sticking it down firmly.

Pic 10: Fix a piece of tape 46J to the other end of the strap.

Pic 11: Fit the hook 46I in place and as before, fold the fabric over, fixing the hook in place.

Pic 12: Feed the long strap 46E through the buckle 46H as shown.

STAGE 46C:

Pic 14: Feed the long strap 46E through the bracket 46K as shown.

Pic 15: Pull the strap through the bracket so that about 1.5cm is loose at the end.

Pic 16: Fit the other radiator brace 46C between the radiator and engine frame as shown.
Fix the radiator end with 1 x ACP screw.
Fix the frame end with 1 x QM screw, also passing it through the strap clip 46G.

Pic 17: Fix the bracket 46K to the angled engine beam as shown using 2 x KM screws.

Pic 18: Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 47:

Left rear wheel arch.

Pic 1: Fit the splash skirt 47D and skirt support 47C the wheel arch 47A, fixing the parts with 2 x BP screws.

Pic 2: Fix the inner arch 47B to the assembly as shown and secure with 1 x AP screw.

Pic 3: Retrieve the main assembly and place it upside down.
Fit the arch assembly in place making sure the suspension rod locates in the groove in the arch as indicated.

Pic 4: A different view of the arch in place.

Pic 5: From the outside, make sure the parts fit neatly where indicated.

Pic 6: From the inside, fix the arch in place using 3 x AP screws.

Pic 7: Fix the arch parts in place using 2 x AP screws.

Pic 8: Fix the spare tyre support to the rear of the wheel arch using 2 x AP screws as shown.

Pic 9: Store the model safely for now.
