Issue 51

The Torso Part 1

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Place the main circuit board between the top and lower covers, picture 2. Make sure the three parts are correctly positioned, then secure the assembly using 2 x E screws, pictures 3 and 4.

Now place the assembly onto the second bracket, securing it in place using 4 x E screws, picture 5.

Retrieve the front part of the body and attach the assembly inside using 4 x E screws as illustrated in picture 6.

Place two M3 nuts in the recess in the upper clamp, picture 7, then fit the clamp cover securing it using an E screw, picture 8.

Prepare two type K bolts, the longer ones, and place a plain washer over them, picture 9.

Fit the clamp assembly onto the spider legs assembly by placing two M4 nuts into the recesses of the clamp, feeding the bolts from the other side and tightening them both using the M4 allen key as illustrated in picture 10.

That completes the assembly for part 1 of this issue.

Issue 51

The Torso Part 2

Remove the central abdominal plate from the front of the torso. Turn the assembly over and route cables 9 and 10 through the hole as shown in picture 11. Turn the assembly over and carefully connect the cables into the circuit board in their respective numbered connectors, picture 12.

Place the front of the body on a soft cloth, to avoid scratching the model. Place the support for the spider legs into the front torso as shown in pictures 13 and 14.

Prepare the four type N bolts and thread a serrated washer over each one, picture 15.

Turn the assembly over and place the four bolts as shown in picture 16, tightening them using the M4 allen wrench.

Place the central chest plate by pushing the two pins, picture 17.

At the base of the front part of the body place an M3 hex nut in each of the holes and cover with one of the three smaller pressure caps. Secure them in place using an E type screw for the end ones and a W type screw for the middle one, pictures 18, 19 and 20.

Retrieve the back torso assembly, and on the inside of the lower back, place the larger pressure cap and straight sided pressure cap in the same way as you did before, pictures 21 and 22.

That completes the assembly for part 2 of this issue.
