STAGE 63A:

Rear shock absorbers and chassis fitting.

Pic 1: Locate the two sets of shock absorber parts 63A, 63E, 63D and 63B.
They will fit together in the order shown.

Pic 2: Once assembled, fix with 1 x AP screw in each.

Pic 3: Retrieve the rear frame 62A and fit the assemblies as shown fixing them with 1 x IM screw in each.

Pic 4: Retrieve the main car assembly and fit the frame in place underneath as shown.
Fix with 2 x AM screws.

Pic 5: Turn the car the right way up and fix the frame with another 4 x AM screws.

Pic 6: Retrieve the rear axle assembly and fit the shock absorber pistons 2 x 63C to the fittings 57D and 58E, fixing them with 1 x JM screw in each.

Pic 7: Assemble the brake caliper parts 63H and 63I as shown.

STAGE 63B:

Pic 8: Fit the other part 63J to the other side of the caliper.

Pic 9: Fit the caliper to the rear axle assembly as shown and fix with 2 x AP screws from behind.

Pic 10: Locate the disc parts 63F and 63D.
They will fit together face to face.

Pic 11: Parts assembled.

Pic 12: Turn the main car assembly upside-down and position the axle assembly as shown.
Fit the small drive belt 63K over the prop shaft before fitting it into the differential.
Fit the bracket 43C you removed some time ago first.
Make sure the chassis parts and springs all locate in the correct places.
Fit the drive belt over the pulleys on the differential.

Pic 13: To make the next step easier, use masking take to keep the axle/chassis assembly in place as you now need to turn the car the right way up.

Pic 14: From above, fix the parts using 4 x AM screws where indicated.
You can now remove the supporting masking tape.

Pic 15: With the assembly upside down again, fit the end of the panhard rod 61D into the end of the bracket 58E.

STAGE 63C:

Pic 16: Fix from the other side with 1 x BP screw.

Pic 17: Some of the following stages are quite fiddly so be patient.
Connect the hose 56D to the fittings indicated.
Fit the end of hose 60G to the small pin under the differential pump bracket.
The hoses are highlighted in yellow for clarity.

Pic 18: Connect cooler hose 60G under the rear axle and onto the pin on the back of the differential cover.

Pic 19: Connect the silver brake pipe to the pin on the caliper as shown.

Pic 20: Do the same on the other side.

Pic 21: Fit the silver brake pipe 53E to the ‘tee’ fitting as shown.

Pic 22: Do the same on the other side.

Pic 23: Connect the chain 53D to the post on bracket 58E and fix with 1 x DM screw.
Repeat with the chain on the other side.

Store the model safely.

STAGE 64:

Rear left wheel.

Pic 1: Fit the rim 64A into the tyre 64C making sure the yellow text is outwards.

Pic 2: From the other side, fit the rim 64B in place keeping the fixing holes in alignment on both rim parts.
Fix with 3 x IM screws.

Store the wheel safely for now.

STAGE 65:

Rear left brake.

Pic 1: Retrieve the rear left brake disk and fit it over the rear left wheel axle as shown.

Pic 2: Retrieve the rear left wheel and fit the brake disc centre 65A in place inside the rear rim.
The parts will only fit one way.

Pic 3: Fit the wheel onto the axle, noting the keyway on the rear locates in the brake disc.

Pic 4: Fit the washer 65C into the wheel centre and fix using 1 x NM screw.

Pic 5: Press-fit the hub cap 65B in place.

NOTE: The wheels will actually be fitted near the end of the build due to the extra added weight and risk of damaging the suspension parts.

Store the model safely.

STAGE 66:

Rear right wheel.
