Hi Ian thanks for your nice comments. I will be tileing soon, but I will be doing it slightly different to the suggested build, I will not have a straight edge on the water line, min will curve at the water line following the curve of the Hull. So starting at the keel, from the stern going foreward and upwards. MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

I am finding the stern the most challenging and time consuming element. like you I am following the waterline no batten. cant wait to see your results mate “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

for the lanterns change the the brass rods for tube to run the cable through for leds you get a size called rice size or normal size all i found out about clear leds they run on a different voltage to the colour ones so if mixing resitores to be fitted to the clear ones to drop the voltage the colour ones run on have a look at EXPO DRILLS AND TOOLS.CO they sell leds they are a model site look under eletrics click on 72 grain size this takes you to the page click on 73 for the leds it sells clear leds with resistores for working on 12 volts as far as i make it out colour 12 volts ,clear 5 volts
