Issue 33

The Helmet and Chest Panel, Part 2

I would recommend taking your time with this section of the build as it is quite fiddly and you will need to make sure you have all the parts in the right orientation.

Retrieve the belt that came in issue 31. Slot the right belt box cover onto the strap as shown in picture 11. Note the hole to the right-hand side. Before fitting the control box, pass the cable through the rectangular hole in the strap, so the cable runs along the back of the belt towards the other holes in the belt. Secure the control box to the cover using 4 x type F screws, pictures 12 and 13.

Retrieve the belt buckle from issue 31 and the buckle box cover. Repeat the process as you did with the control box assembly. Picture 14 shows how the cables are placed before assembling the parts. Note: I would recommend marking the cables, so you know which cable is which on the final assembly.
Again, secure the two parts using 4 x type F screws. You will need the spare screws that came in issue 31, pictures 15 and 16.

Fit the right box cable into the connector as shown in picture 17, then the buckle cable as illustrated in picture 18. Push fit the on/off switch into the slot on the box cover and feed the two cables through the hole at the same time, pictures 19 and 20. Secure the box and cover using 4 x type F screws.

Pictures 21, 22 and 23 show the assembly complete. Note: You do not test the circuit board at this stage.

That completes Part 2 of this assembly.

Issue 34

The Helmet and Chest Panel

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Retrieve the chest panel and press in the upper left decoration, picture 2. Place the right decoration on the opposite side, picture 3. Do the same with the lower decorations on both sides as shown in picture 4. Picture 5 shows the assembly complete.

Retrieve the helmet and place the left facial frame, the bag marked (34-07) into place, picture 6. Remove the protective film first. Take the internal temple cable to the left frame by fixing either end into the holes as illustrated in pictures 7 and 8.

Now do the same with the right facial frame, pictures 9 and 10. As before fit the internal temple cable in the same way as shown in pictures 11 and 12.

Finally, fit the two internal forehead connectors, making sure you have them the right way around, pictures 13 and 14.

That completes the assembly for this issue.

Issue 35

The Helmet

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Before you start the assembly, I would recommend leaving the parts in the bags until you come to assemble them as they have the number of the part written on the bag,

Retrieve the helmet and place the part 35-07 into the two holes as illustrated in picture 2. Picture 3 shows how the part looks when placed.

Do the same with part 35-03 in the two holes shown in pictures 4 and 5.

Repeat the process with part 34-04, attaching it the corresponding holes as illustrated in pictures 6 and 7.

Fit the central clip 35-08 to the underside of the crown clicking it into the two peds, holding together the three parts you have just assembled, picture 8.

Finally attach the decorative tube 35-08 as shown in picture 9, then attach the tube 34-06 on the opposite side as illustrated in picture 10.

That completes the assembly for this stage.

Issue 36

The Helmet and Left Hand

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Retrieve the helmet you have been working on. Attach the left facial connector, this has two holes on the top of it. Place it into the two pegs as shown in picture 2. Do the same with the right facial connector, without holes, as illustrated in picture 3.

Instal the connector tubes from this issue and the two from the last issue. Picture 4 illustrates where all four tubes are connected inside the helmet.

Slide the friction spacer onto the base of the left thumb as shown in picture 5, then fit the lower joint, picture 6. Next, attach the right base of the left thumb, and secure in place using a type T screw, picture 7.

Slide the other friction spacer onto the peg on the right tip of the left thumb, picture 8. Attach the previous thumb assembly as shown in picture 9. Finally, attach the left tip and secure it in place using 2 x type T screws as illustrated in picture 10.

That completes the assembly for this stage.
