Issue 21

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

This issue is quite fiddly and will need a bit of patience when fitting the heat protection sheets.

You get four sheets for this process. I did mine using two sheets, but feel free to cover the part differently if you need more than the two, I used. I started at the back of the lower intake box and had the sheet to just one side, so it covered the top, front and back using the double-sided tape to stick the foil to the part, pictures 2,3 and 4.

I then used the second sheet in the same way, so it covered the opposite side, picture 5. Once you have covered the lower intake box, using a craft knife carefully cut away the excess and the two holes as shown in picture 6.

Retrieve the engine assembly and place the lower intake box between the head area, securing it in place using 6 x BP screws as illustrated in picture 7.

Picture 8 shows the assembly complete for this issue.

Issue 22

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Start by putting the injector supports and the injector connector together. Note that the injector supports and the letter “R” and “L” on them to show which is left and right, picture 2. Secure them in place as shown in pictures 3 and 4.

Place the assembly into the intake ports of the front cylinder head and secure in place using 3 x LP screws, picture 5. Place the sensor to the flange and secure it in place using a KP screw as illustrated in picture 6. Now place the assembly over the injector connector and secure in place using 8 x KP screws, picture 7.

Now place the cap on top of the flange and using 4 x KP screws, secure it in place, picture 8.

Finally, push fit the bridge in place over the cap, taking note of its orientation, picture 9.

That completes part 1 of this assembly.

Issue 24 part 1

Picture 1 show the contents of this issue.

In this issue there are some very fiddley components to assemble, so take you time and care with each part.

Start by taking the injector wiring, picture 2, then identify the middle two cables as illustrated in picture 3. Take two of the left-hand sockets and fit them to the cables as shown in picture 4. Note the sockets have an “L” and an “R” on the top of them. There are six left sockets and two right hand sockets.

Retrieve the engine assemble and identify the intake box. The two prepared cables will attach to the pins illustrated in picture 5. Picture 6 show the sockets in place.

Take the piping, picture 7, and place it in position in the intake box, picture 8.

Now add the injection connection pipe, picture 9 to the intake box, placing the two holes in the same two pins as the sockets. Secure in place using 2 x LP screws. Picture 10 shows the assembly complete.

That completes Part 1 of this issue.

Issue 24 Part 2

Retrieve the small assembly you made in the previous issue and two left hand sockets along with the injector connection pipe, picture 11. Push fit the two sockets in place as before, picture 12, then add the injector pipe, securing it in place using 2 x LP screws, picture 13.

Take the assembly and fit it to the rear cylinder head, securing it in place using 3 x LP screws, pictures 14, 15 and 16.

Retrieve the flange and cap assembly and place it on the top of the intake box, making sure its orientation is correct as illustrated in picture 17. Secure it in place using 8 x KP screws, picture 18.

Now take the two right hand sockets and place them on the front intake box and two left hand sockets on the rear intake box, pictures 19 and 20.

That completes Part 2 of this issue.

Issue 24 Part 3

Take the parts as shown in picture 21 and first cut a 9cm piece from the rubber tube, picture 22. Place the small black connector and fit it to one end of the tube, picture 23.

Now cut a 5.5cm piece from the remaining rubber tube, picture 24, and place it on the upper injector connection as shown in picture 25. Press fit the silver plug onto the upper injector, picture 26.

Take the assembly and fit it over the top of the intake assembly, fitting the larger diameter hollow posts onto the four pins that protrude from the connectors and the two centre pins of the pipe into the underlying holes in the two bridges. Once the pipe is attached, insert the shorter rubber tube (5.5cm) in the front vertical pin on the piping as shown in picture 27. Place the end of the larger rubber tubing (9CM) on the horizontal front pin, also shown in picture 27.

Finally, insert the free plugs of the injector wiring on the sockets as illustrated in pictures 28 and 29.

That completes Part 3 and the final part of this issue.
