Hi Shipmates, I was reading an article concerning HMS Astute and then I stumbled on this link in the article concerning Anechoic tiles for submarines. It appears that the Nazis developed the technology during the second world war but were not able to due to time constraints to fully capitalise on it. Fascinating stuff! Here is the link for HMS Astute: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Astute_(S119)And the link for the Anechoic Tiles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anechoic_tile
