With the next instalment of the John Wick build about to land on my doorstep, I thought I would start to design a scaled figure to accompany the car when it is finished.
I started the figure about a week ago and do a few hours each night whilst watching the television.
It is the first large scale figure I have done and it is definitely a learning curve for me.
The first picture was from a few days ago and as you can see, the second picture shows him holding a gun. It was not too difficult designing the gun, but the hand holding it proved to be somewhat tedious. In the end, I got my wife to photograph my own hand in the position of how it would look holding the pistol. I then scanned my hand and turned it into a 3D model, which was then position in the figure with the gun in the hand. So yes, John Wicks has my hand.
The last few pictures have been generated in the CAD software to give an idea of what he will look like when painted.
Still quite a bit to do, before he is finished. I’ll need to separate him in different parts for ease of painting and design a base for him to stand on.
