STAGE 87:

Steering column.

Pic 1: Retrieve the steering wheel and remove the centre cap.

Pic 2: Fit the shaft 87D into the back of the wheel.
Note that one end has a shorter stepped part. This fits in the wheel.
Fix from the front with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 3: Re-fit the centre cap.

Pic 4: Fit the driver’s intercom as shown.
The part is not a tight fit so you may wish to use a little adhesive.
This is at the builder’s discretion.

Pic 5: Locate the column parts 87A and 87B.
They fit together, one on top of the other.

Pic 6: Fix using 4 x AP screws.

Pic 7: Peel the backing from the felt sheet 87C and wrap it around the black section of the column as shown.

Store everything safely for now.

STAGE 88:

Dashboard and firewall.

Pic 1: Retrieve the interior and firewall assemblies.
Fit the firewall behind the locating tabs on the interior and fix the parts with 5 x EP screws.

Pic 2: Connect the 3 x ignition wires as shown.
The printed instructions say to pass the short lead through a hole in the firewall.
There is no hole – the wire connects to a pin.

Pic 3: Store the assembly and unused part safely.
