When I test my premium base assembly on/off touch switch it does not work when it's installed, however; it works fine if I remove it from it's slot. The sensor isn't strong enough to work out of it's installed slot cut-out.

Hello Marc

Although I am building the Darth Vader kit, I do not have the premium base. However it does look to be a very similar setup as the Optimus Prime premium base that I constructed. Link below.

Optimus prime Premium Base

If you could let me know if this is similar, e.g powered by usb cable or batteries, I’ll try and help.

Optimus Prime base had a sensor touch circuit which worked fine.

I’m glad you have also had a response from FanHome regarding the screws. I was about to post to say the same.

Either reply back here or PM me.

All the best

It's a usb plug. The sensor works, just not in it's slot.

It is probably the same as the Optimus Prime base. It is unusual that it should work but not when inserted into the slot in the base. Silly question but have you tried it facing the other way around. There should also be a power sign on the outside base which is thinner than the rest of the panels. Have you got that panel with the power symbol over the sensor switch?
