Issue 117

Picture 1 shows the contents of this issue.

Trunk Lid Seal and Hinges

Take the trunk leg seal and remove the central section with a cutting tool, picture 2. Place the seal on the trunk lid in a reinforcement section as shown in picture 3.

Attach both the hinges, which are marked with an L and an R on the underside of the trunk lid. Secure these in place using 2 x DS02 screws to each hinge, picture 4.

Retrieve the bodywork and insert the trunk assembly so the arms of the hinge fit into the slots in the body, picture 5.

Finally, attach the hinge retainer plates over the ends of the hinges and secure in place using a DS02 screw. Note that the plates have a hole that fits into the pin on the bodywork, picture 6.

One final note. If the trunk lid is difficult to open, I would recommend pushing it open from the inside with the bodywork upside down. Before doing this, place the assembly on a soft towel so not to scratch the paintwork. You may need to use a little force but once freed it will open more easily.

Picture 7 shows the assembly complete for this issue.
