Issue 45

Take the sensor mounting bracket and place it onto the left front brake caliper mounting, securing it in place using 2 x KM screws as shown in pictures 1, 2, and 3.

Fit the two halves of the sensor sleeves together and secure them at the top using a ACP screw, pictures 4 and 5. Fit the cap at the other end, then insert the sensor rod, pictures 6 and 7.

Attach the assembly to the left folk leg and fix it in place using a KM screw, picture 8.

Note: the magazine refers to attaching the sensor mounting bracket (45F) in this next stage, this should read connector plate (45E)

Before attaching the connector plate, I would recommend attaching the ACP screw to the end of the sensor rod first, picture 9. Complete the assembly by securing the connector plate as shown in picture 10.

That completes the assembly for this issue.

Issue 46 Part 1

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Fit the two halves of the sensor sleeves together and secure them at the top using an ACP screw, picture 2. Fit the cap at the other end, then insert the sensor rod, pictures 3. Attach the assembly to the right folk leg, picture 4.

Using an MP screw attach the sensor mount to the sensor rod, picture 5.

Take the backing off the sticker and place it onto the top surface of the upper fork as shown in picture 6 and 7.

Retrieve the frame assembly and attach the fork assembly pushing the steering head pin in the top of the fork, through the hole on the frame assembly, picture 8. Turn the assembly up and secure the steering head using a CM screw, picture 9.

That completes Part 1 of this assembly.

Issue 46 Part 2

Cut the cable into 2 x 11cm pieces, picture 10. Insert the first tube onto the pin of the part 40F assembled in issue 40, picture 11. Fit the second cable on the pin next to the first one, picture 12.

Note: You may need to loosen the screw on the handlebars that attached part 40F and turn the assembly 90 degrees. Issue 40 illustrated the part in the other direction with the pins facing the handlebar grip. This needs to be turned around for the cable to fit.

The two cables should now be attached to the sensor mount as shown in picture 13.

To complete the assembly, locate the tube coming out of the throttle linkage, picture 14 and feed the cable through the top fork assemble as shown in picture 15. Attach the tube into the first pin on the cable connection bracket as illustrated in picture 16.

Picture 17 shows the assembly complete for this issue.

Issue 47

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Take the left front brake caliper and position into the left front brake caliper mounting. Note the two pins protruding from this mounting and the corresponding holes in the caliper as shown in picture 2. Attach the caliper by inserting the two pins, applying enough pressure to ensure the caliper is securely in place as shown in picture 3.

Align the sensor mounting bracket as shown in picture 4 then attach the centre hole of the fork bridge as illustrated in picture 5. Secure in place using a KM screw. Now attach the connector strip and secure it in place at the bottom of the bridge as shown in picture 6.

Cut four pieces of tubing 1 x 3cm, 2 x 4cm and 1 x 5cm, picture 7. Place the 5cm tube over the pin of the left brake caliper mounting and the other end over the centre pin of the connector strip, picture 8. Connect one of the 4cm tubes to the lower pin on the sensor mounting and the other end to the end of the connector strip as illustrated in picture 9. Connect the other 4cm tube to the upper pin on the connector plate, picture 10, and the other end on the end of the connector strip, picture 11.

Finally, connect the 3cm tube on the outer pin of the connector strip, picture 12, and the other end on the sensor mounting bracket, picture 13.

That completes the assembly for this issue.

Issue 48

Picture 1 shows the parts for this issue.

Start by cutting 2 x 11cm and 1 x 7cm of tubing, picture 2.

Place the two 11cm length tubes on the connector as shown in picture 3. Place the 7cm connector onto the side pin of the connector, picture 4.

Attach the assembly to the underside of the top fork assembly as illustrated in picture 5. Secure in place using 2 x Km screws.

Connect the 7cm cable from the connector to the lower outlet of the front brake handlebar assembly, picture 6. Place the left-hand cable from the connector to the left front brake caliper, picture 7.

Fit the left fairing inner halves to the left fork and secure them both in place using 3 x KP screws, picture 8. Note: these will only fit one way.

That completes the assembly for this issue.
