hi having just removed the gratings to narrow them on the middle deck just noticed that one set of steps is oppisite the gratin and the other set of steps is on the same side as the gratin is this correct as it doesnt look rite nick

Not too sure of your problem Nick, as far as I can recal Tomicks or mag's instructions seem fairly clear? Jeff

hi jeff its not so much of a problem it just doesnt seem right that they would of had to walk across the gratin to use the ladder where as the other ladder is accessed from the deck just seems abit odd to me and cant find any plans or photos of the real thing to check nick

I see what you mean now, I felt the same about going directly off the steps and onto the grating so made the steps using smaller pieces of wood so that they are not as chunky which means there is a small gap between the bottom of the steps and the grating! Some of the guy's have also made the gratings narrower. Thought I had a pic but can't find it!! sorry!
