I can understand where the chainwales are positioned as measured from the bow etc, but what level are they?? are they above the recently fitted moulding strip or between the two moulding strips I dont want to paint over where they are fitted! Jeff

They will be fitted to the top strip of the two channel strips rather than the hull planking.

While making a start on the 'chainwales' I was a bit confused with the instructions in the 'mag', it says the plans show the starboard chainwales but I now asume that the 'side elevation' for the positioning of the 'deadeyes' is of the port side! its the only way I can get the slots and holes in the correct position. Correct me if I'm wrong.
