I am at the stage on issue 43 where i need to drill the holes for the ropes above the gun ports using the template the question is.. how deep should the holes be? i know the drill should be 1.5mm but no reference to the depth  Thanks Paul

You can drill thru the planking as it won't be visble on the inside/reverse.
