To lose interest means you never had it in the 1st place.

Course i did, spending over 260quid so far on magazines shows how much i was interested, but i started losing interest when i was going to collect my magazine, pay 7.99 and look and see there was 1 single piece with magazine. Looked promising with first few issues but gradually has went way downhill.

Victory mag cost is £5.99 Blink

Have you thought of putting what you have on eBay, though it would likely only attract a fraction of the value.

tomick i think you need a break, a short rest, a holiday, because this looks like a senior moment.
david is referring to the mclaren which costs more than victory, and his first post has his ebay link.BigGrin

I`m always losing interest in things, but after a while it comes round again, i take my hat off to people like S.O.B. Karl etc who have massive energy and commitment

We all knew that it was 85 issues and to get this built that is what we need to spend to complete. It is a bit disheartening when we get just the odd piece, but then all of a sudden we get enough in another issue to make up for the last one.
It is gradually coming together now and look forward to getting some more shiney body panels in the future.
If we all made it like Warty and others it would turn into a full time job Drool

Btw...just had a look at your ebay and if you don't mind me suggesting that you take some really close up detail shots of your build, that way you can show that it is precise in every way and should give you a higher value to a prospective buyer...just my opinion for what it's worth.

Edit, When i built my real car it took me two years and a load of dough.
I originally was going to spend half of what it cost and to do it in 12 months.
But it did end up a bit special. You see a load of cars that are half built and a lot of people just run out of interest...but they lose a fortune trying to sell a half built car.

BigGrin I agree with you Skiddy, it all evens out in the end though I know it can be slightly annoying when we get one part in an issue. However, this coming week we get a great big chunk of ABS undertray, so as was said before, it all evens out eventually and I am sure it will be well worth it when the model is finished ??
