The Glue used for holding together wonds is similar but I understand not the same. My undersatnding is that a combination of factors are present... 1. Cappilory action, the glue cures quicker on rough serfices 2. super glue cures quicker in warmth so the body heat acts as a catalist but this could be tosh  “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”

I was thinking the same only just the other week, when I knocked over a opened bottle of thin superglue(this was the second time I have done this and I did think to myself, must be careful this time while looking at the opened bottle)now me being a quick thinking sort of guy caught it with my other hand, bad move even worse when I could feel my shoe sticking to the floor and feeling a damp patch on my jeans  luckily I has a bottle of nail varnish remover nearby, but my hand felt funny all day long

Try super glue gel it runs a lot slower, and I use cocktail sticks to apply the glue to the necessary surfaces keeping the maximum amount of distance between the glue and me as possible...I always put the lid back on my super glue ASAP because the toxicity always affects me giving me cold symptoms for at least 48 hours...Its damn annoying, especially when there are several parts that need gluing..(prolonged exposure)!!

the post was meant as a joke. super glue is one of the things in life that really annoys me. when you want to stick 2 objects together is so frustrating when the 2 objects concerned will quite happily stick to all manner of things around them, in fact everything but the 2 bits you are trying to join Come on you Jimmies

Its a real pain when the lid glues itself on so you use pliers to twist it off.. . Bad move off came lid yey, followed by glue. I then had a set of pliers permanently attached to my hand.

i have done that in the past as well. i now use a very small syringe which i dip into the bottle, as i find this stops the build up of glue around the cap and i can control the flow better, as its easier to do it that way with one hand. Come on you Jimmies

I bought all those syringes with different nozzles but they always block up. How do you clean them so they don't.

The syringe is a good idea..Where could I pick up such a beastie, and is there any speacial kind to use?

Chris... use a small metal tube as a tip if its blockes heat it with a lighter well it workes on that humbrol precision poly cement with that fine metal tube when it blockes  and an other tip when you remove the top of the super glue smear vaseline on the threads and nozzel it will stop it from sticking and asda is selling a super glue with a brush attatch inside the small bottle top for applying the glue

if you google syringes with blunt needles you can find a few places. i got mine with a bulk inkjet system i used for sublimation printing. chris i use blunt needles and they are just the right size for the thin silver wire we get for victory to poke inside, also i draw the glue back up after ihave finished, so a quick poke around with the silver wire keeps it clear Come on you Jimmies

chris try using the pink plastic one for cyano, it may not clog up as much as the metal one. the other thing i use if the end is really clogged is a 0.5mm drill bit, that always seems to clear it Come on you Jimmies

Having read this advice on syringes I decided to invest in some myself as I am finding it hard to grip onto bottles etc securely enough to be accurate..glue goes every where!! Still arthritis is the price you pay for working with your hands in just above freezing water Did some hunting last night & found these which I have ordered http://www.ebay.co.uk/it...m&item=150711272970

Just an idea about syringes, if u refill your own ink cartridges and buy the kits from the major supermarkets there is the same type of syringe included in those packs [ once youve used up all the ink you have more or less the same as those on ebay by dontshootme]. And yes i know u gota use up the ink 1st but if your already using this system to refill cartridges you should have a few left from previous packs[ if you get what i mean] regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

when useing syringes apply vaseline to the rubber seal on the plunger to prevent it for glueing to the sides also try to leave a air gap in the syringe as super clue dose not set in air, air must be excluded when pressing two parts to geather- try puting a small drop on a none porse surface and see how long it takes to dry AGES
