As above, anyone found these a bit tricky ?

After quite a few dry runs I decided to just glue the two front fixing points, but taping the glued and non glued points, then once dried to glue the two rear points. Didn't fancy messing at this point ! Crying

Sorry, but I can't quite fathom out what you mean....
Could you explain it a bit clearer?
(Maybe I've had a glass too much plonk...)
Roy.

Sure

The bargeboard stays in issue 40 have 4 fixing points and to save risking getting glue in places not requiring it I glued 2 front points first and let dry before glueing the rear 2.

It was a little tricky to do! I found a couple of the points didn't glue so i just reapplied the glue after!

BigGrin Hi Skiddy,

A bit at a time is usually the best way to do the tricky stuff and often it ends up with a better and cleaner result, as you don't get glue everywhere trying to hold everything in place at the same time. Remember to use a cocktail stick to apply small drops of glue just where you need it and you won't go far wrong ??

Good stuff .... Kev BigGrin

BigGrin Hi Chris,

Thanks for your comments. Rest assured, I have every intention of updating my McLaren diary when I get the time to do some more build and take the necessary photos, etc., but due to having a lot of work on my plate at the moment I am finding it a bit difficult to spare the time and I have to content myself with just doing normal posts at the moment, but rest assured I will put some more build up as soon as I can and it won't be too far away as I would like to keep up with where most people are on their builds.

I made mention before Christmas of the fact that I would have to do less frequent updates and be a little less intense in their description when I do, as they take a long time to put together and as I say, time is short for me at the moment. Give it a month or two and I should be able to get back to what I was doing. I also intend to deviate from a standard build slightly in the areas of the car that are coming up soon, so I need time to work on some ideas I have. Hope that sounds OK ??

Many thanks for your nice comments about my diaries Chris, much appreciated !! ThumpUp

BigGrin Kev
