Thanks all - I really appreciate your comments. All 4 wales fitted, gun-port openings cut and the holes drilled for the gun-port lids: (I wish I took the time and made a jig to get the holes perfectly square to the gun ports - one or 2 that came out a little skew)  Little jig to assist with supporting the wriggles while marking & cutting:  Cutout of the wriggles complete:

Thanks Mike & Jason! I've started with planking the middle deck, but had to remove all the planks due to a measurement/marking error of the centre-line. Below is a picture of a little jig I built to mark 13mm from the centre-line. I'm temporarily deviating from the official build in order to make the grates narrower as per Son of Bulwark.  Here is the first try:  And removed again

Finally fished the deck planking over the weekend:  The fingers fitted  Decking right to the edge on the hull on the Portside bow  Space left at the back - as per the instructions
