I am looking at starting to build a cabinet for the Victory. Before I purchase the cabinet material can anyone confirm that my assumptions below are correct.Confused

The overhaul dimensions give in the pamphlet is Length 1250mm, Height 850mm, Beam 450mm. Am I correct in assuming that I need to increase these dimensions by approx 100mm to allow clearance for the cabinet. BigGrin

Happy building

I'm going to wait to do mine until I've fitted all the masts. Also not sure what lighting to use

Same here, a build diary would prove very useful if one was available, just to give me some ideas

Rob thanks for the reminder about the stand.

I think it will be a few weeks before I start I am looking at different options, as my woodworking tools are all hand held (some powered) therefore need to take that into consideration in the final design.

My intention is to use acrylic sheets (perspex) due to the weight and strenght.

If anyone is intrested I Googled "How to make a cabinet for a model ship" and had some intresting links with some good ideas.

I will provide some more details when the design finalised.

Happy builing
