Like the mod to the cannon quicker than my drill out the barrel solution.

Hi Atholm,

Build looking great, excellent neat job.

Please don't take this the wrong way but it looks like you bitt assembly is in the wrong place, I was under the impression it was attached next to the grating with the cannon balls.

Not a criticism just an observation.

Keep up the great diary.

Looking good.
Also like the build stand with the engraving in it,was it supplied like that or something you did yourself? If it was supplied I wonder why we didn't get it over here as it looks quite nice,I for one am considering "prettyfiying" the build stand for use as final display stand.

Hi Ship Mates, Thanks for the comments much appreciated especially Wilfy about the position of the bitt. If it had come a day later I would have had to strip some deck support planks to move it.

Rob the stand is how I received it.

Enjoy the build

Looks great Athol!

I'm also going to be following Darron's mod for making the gratings narrower, by how much did you have to adjust the deck-planking?

Hi StefanDV, I can't remember making any mods to the decking. The length is still the same which would give sufficient gluing area.

Thanks for the compliments.

Happy building

A belated best wishes for the festive season and may all your wishes for 2012 be fulfilled.

Time again to update my build. I have just passed the halfway mark, working on issue 63 but looking at Tomick,s official build I don,t think the build is 50% complete. The test of fine work has just began.

I moved the cabin portions back to allow space between the cannon and the door. I will have to get the cleaning gang in to do a more thorough cleaning job and painting crew to do some touch up work.

The start of the main mast. I have hit a snag as one of the cross tree arms Is about 5mm shorter and therefore does not have a hole on that end.
I tried to drill a hole but the arm split so I will get onto CS to send me a replacement.Crying Mad
