With regard to your last post, the planking that can be seen through the entry ports is in near darkness, so don't be to bothered about trying to perfect what you have already done so far. Use the experience you have attained to go that step further on the next batch of planking that is required, the same will apply to the first set of cannons required for the next deck, do the best you can and then look at the finish and hopefuly you will see what needs to be improved upon or can be done in an easier or quicker way for the ones on the main deck which will be very visible and should be your best examples. But you should be taking heart from what you have done so far, as what you have done looks realy good! All the best Steve..

Here`s an update. Finished the bow upwards. Despite the fact, that i didn`t realize that some of the planks are not of the same width troughout the length, i´m really happy with the result. I will have to use some wood-filler here and there. Now for the gun-ports of the middle-gun-deck :) DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

It`s been a while since my last post. I was busy planking the hull below the waterline. First i had to build a jig - i used dummy masts to turn the ship upside down. Here are some pics of my progress. The next planks would be the garboard planks - but if i added them, i would not be able to put her back into my "Upright" - jig. So i stopped here and turned her over again - i will now build the upper gun deck and finish the hull planking above the water line.
