Hi there shipmates...I ran into a little problem when I reached Issue 65 and the construction of the main yard...I had drilled the holes in each end of the yard and dry fitted the studdingsail boom irons...it was then that I found that one of the boom irons was slightly warped (the thin part that goes into the hole)and throws the studdingsail boom out of line with the main yard. Has anybody else come across this problem, if so, how did you get round it, as I know that the metal is very brittle and cannot be manipulated? Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

I haven't had this issue but agree with above try and offset the hole to take the male part. “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain
