ISSUE 19 DECK SUB-ASSEMBLIES

Hi Team here we are again week 19. continuing with sub- assemblies on the deck.

For this I just removed the deck section, rather than work on the whole ship.
This is what we received:-

ISSUE 19 DECK SUB-ASSEMBLIES

The parts as you can see are very "fiddly" it is worth taking the time to trim and sand them a little more than usual.

I then assembled the parts as per the instructions ( At no point should the parts at this point be glued to the deck no 73)

Here are the photos:-

ISSUE 19 DECK SUB-ASSEMBLIES

At this stage I left the glue to dry. Then I must sand the corners of the sub-assembly, and finaly fit it to deck 73 using parts 101 and 102.

Questions and comments welcomeBigGrin Thanks for watching. Mike.

The part we have built is then fitted and glued in place on Deck 73, at the same time fitting pieces 101 and 102 to anchor to other parts already fitted

That all this time, thanks for watchingBigGrin Mike

I have a question if I may. There are a number of ladders and doors on the superstructure you are just building. do you know if you get them or not? some are hard to see so they may be left off.

build looks great by the way BigGrin

Hi Mike, Jase
To answers jases question the bismarck i made had all the ladders between the decks and even ladders up the sides of bulkheads.
i would think the hood would go into the same amount of detail on superstructor. Ian. BigGrin

ISSUE 20 BOW DECK PIECES

Hi team the parts we have received this week on the fret are different to the ones depicted in the instuctions.

Two parts (103) are missing from the fret but the way the other parts are configured it looks like they are not needed any way, but to be on the safe side I have made copies of these two parts, and fitted them.

I will post the modifications I have done with photos later in the day.

Regards

MikeBigGrin

hi Mike

Noticed that myself yesterday, I did ask the question wether anyone else had the problem. But my build log isn't showing. Glad it wasn't just my parts that were missing.

ISSUE 20 BOW DECKS

Hi team I have spoken to Hachette who say the parts are indeed missing, and are to be included in a future issue.

If in the meantime builders wish to progress, the missing parts can be easily replicated.

I will show my mods this evening with photosBigGrin

ISSUE 20
Hi again Team,

You will see I have replicated parts 103.

You will also notice part 104 has a Half rib extrusion where it fits over rib 37 (the instructions show no extrusion on the part 104 at this point)

Part 104 has a full rib extrusion where it fits over rib 39 (the instructions show half a rib extrusion at this point)

Part 105 has no rib extrusion where it fits over rib 39 (the instructions show half a rib extrusion at this point.)

I made a part I have called 104a to glue to part 104 in order for it to support the edge of 105 see the photos:-
