Issue 23 Finally managed to finish this one. I didn't realise how long planking takes but I'm getting there I've got issue 24 I've not started it yet. I was thinking about using sawdust in PVA glue to fill in the little gaps in the planking once this layer is done so hopefully it will be nice an smooth once it's done. CURRENT BUILDS

My ISSUE 24 did not arrive yet Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Thx mike. I'm not able to pin the planks into position cause I don't have any so I'm using clamps. Its taking a bit longer but has the same effect I think lol. Sorry ta hear about ur latest issue it's got 41planks (I think) and also contains the missing parts from a previous issue tho u already made ya own. It's wierd cause although it's giving ya all these planks it's only giving the instructions for 20 of them. Hope this helps CURRENT BUILDS

Hi Sean the extra planks will be used in future ISSUES put them safe. You could nip into a Hobbycraft and get some train track pins Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

hi sean how about trieing this with elestic bands put around oppisit frame under the plank your fitting up and back to the same frame crossing the frame it pulls the plank in and up agenest the other plank at the same time the pice off 3x3 is to kept the joints flush as possible to each other not nedded all the time p.s. if you do use this idear the top plank only needs to be clamped or held some way to stop it ridding up the frame till the glue dries

when doing the last plank with the bands put it right around the hull and pack the bands with off cuts so you pull only on the plank you are fixing watch you dont glue the off cuts as well
