Hi shipmates...When modelling sailing ships, and when you get to the point of rigging the masts and yards, I have noticed that the mizzen mast tops have always taken on a very noticeable lean towards the bow direction...I know that it is the tension of the cord attached to the main mast that causes this...and wanting my builds to be as perfect as possible...does anybody know of a way to prevent this problem arising..I am not anywhere near this stage yet, but glimpsing my past builds, this has been very noticeable...
Current Builds: Deagostini HMS Victory: Deagostini HMS Sovereign of the seas. Completed Builds: Del Prado: HMAS Bounty: Hachette: RMS Titanic: Del Prado: Cutty Sark...

hi jonny, what I do to prevent this,is this, fasten the backstays first,or at least have them rigged so you can adjust them.and then when you you do the front stays to the mizzen you can adjust that too.its a juggling act really,as with the rest of the top masts.
