Hi Mike, Considering it is such a small aircraft in 1/72 scale you have done a very nice job with it, well done !! A very small criticism would be to maybe mask the canopy frames off with some Tamiya masking tape and a fresh, sharp scalpel blade, then paint. That way you would get a much neater line on the framework ?? It looks like you have handpainted the framework with a brush, which is fine, but it will always be neater using a mask ?? Hope you find that constructive mate and I suspect it only notices anyway as the aircraft is actually quite small and zooming in with the camera shot will ALWAYS highlight any faults !! Good build Mike, looks like you had fun and now onto the biggie eh ?? Kev

Thanks Kev, for the way to go with the canopy, I should have thought of that, I have Tamiya thin masking tape. I will scrape it off and seart again Regards Mike MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

I wouldn't worry too much about it Mike, it was just a minor observation on my part. You may even make it look worse by scraping the paint off, if you accidentally scratch the clear parts of the canopy. If you do however, you can polish it out by using 'Micro-mesh' in grades up to 12000 grit and then give it a light coat of 'Johnson's Klear' Liquid Floor Polish, (which is no longer available if you haven't already got some !!) or the new stuff from Pledge which is supposed to be a replacement for the Johnson's stuff. Probably better just to leave it as is, since I believe you said it was just a little 'fun' project before the big one and be sure to use the masking tape on the next one !! Cheers .... Kev

Seems like there are lots of uses for Klear, when I was an officer cadet we used to put it on our boots if we did not have enough time to polish them properly only problem was if used too often it cracked! and that led to more pain Ger
