Hello guys, I am wondering if any of you can help me out here. I am reading a book at the moment called "Bloody Aachen" and as the title suggests is all about the American offensive against the German City. However the Author keeps on mentioning that there were Ferdinands deployed at Aachen, does anyone know if this is true? I know that one battalion of Ferdinands was in Italy and I think the remaining 2 saw out action on the Eastern front.
Does anyone have further infor on this?

I can't find any info about them being there. Maybe it's the Americans refering to every tank destroyer they come across as 'Ferdinands', like every tank they encountered were 'Tigers'?
