Hi guys

I am adding some furniture to the 1:48 scale HMS Surprise.

I have look on various websites to find out how tall a 1:48 scale person would be but have found various different results ranging from 1.3" to 2"

Can anyone with more experience of this scale please shead some light on this please?

For example I want to build a 6 seater table but don't know how high it should be etc

Thanks

If you are going for a bit of realism on the sizes bare in mind that there were no giants in nelsons navy because the deck spaces were not high enough. I would go by rule of thumb and take your measurement at around 1.5in and make your table around half that in height. Did you find any navy figures in your search?

You should be able to re-pose the figures easy enough. I have done it with my Zero figure. have a look at my build diary it was the first thing i did. may give you some ideas.

got them figures. They sent the middle one extra which is the better and more in scale. I think they are more 1/64 than 1/48 and the quality is rubbish and you cant repose cos they are a really hard metal

In 1/48 scale 1/4 inch equals a foot, therefore people wild be 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inch tall.BigGrin
Good luck with your builds...
